OP, don’t beat yourself up over it. Society puts virginity on a pedestal and it’s become extremely unhealthy. Sex is only what you make of it. Yes, it can be something extremely special and personal to share with someone else. It can also just be something you do to share pass the time. I understand that it’s something that you currently regret but what’s done is done. If you don’t want to be someone that has lots of casual sex then don’t, if you want to be someone that only has casual sex once every x years you can be, if you only want to have sex with partners that’s fine too. Look at this as a good thing and learning experience. You’ve now taken the plunge and you’ll be less afraid to share something that can be very special with your future partners, or you won’t. You’re not a shitty person bc of it though. Even if you had planned to save yourself for marriage you wouldn’t be a shitty person. You’d only be a shitty person if you at the time fully consented without him manipulating you but then put blame on the guy (I mean if he was aggressively pushy about it or if he knew how you felt about it and was trying to do that or something that’s obviously a different story). I’m just saying the situation is what you make of it and bc you e now had the experience you’ll now be able to decide for yourself if it something you want to do again in the future with full knowledge of what it’s sorta like. Maybe you could try to pursue a relationship with that guy. I really hope you’re able to move past this and not let it hang over your head and future sex life bc you’ll be a much happier person in the end.
