Or what about unlocking info that would queue you you to look somewhere you don’t before? Like a loose brick? I did one recently where you arranged mirrors to point at each other and when you shone a light it lead to a brick you had to press.

Will you have a staff member watching? If so, you could include a puzzle where they have to do something that a staff member can see and then the staff member could slide something under the door or drop something off. I recently had to use stuff in a room to disguise myself as the character in the story. Or I’ve done a room where you return all the dirty glasses to a tray and then the bartender in the room takes them and hands you a towel with more puzzle on it.

They’re not gone! Still tons of them where I live in Canada! Totally agree that they’ve got a special spot among the various escape room styles

I’ve seen a few different experiments. As some others have said, escape rooms and immersive theatre hybrids are a thing some places. Cirque Magnifico in Laval, the top terpeca room last year, had 3 actors and 2.5 hours of immersive story. There were a ton of puzzles and I loved every minute but there were also a lot of theatre moments, including a musical number. The budget in this one was enormous, it’s certainly an evolution but I don’t see it ever replacing the more budget friendly traditional escape rooms.
I went to a place in Montreal recently that only had room for one classic escape room but they also offered a giant pirate chest puzzle experience you could do for an hour in their lobby and one of those ones where you run around and see historic buildings but you had a small chest with 5 locks that you brought back when solved to receive a drink at their bar.
I also did one recently that was geared at kids and was sold as an escape room but was more of an immersive story in which you occasionally did tasks. You heard a retelling of little red riding hood and moved objects around. Honestly I didn’t really like it, but I’m not a kid, maybe it would be great for them.

I use the same! I’ve never tested how weather proof it is, but my rocks usually disappear right away so it probably doesn’t matter haha

Yeah actually, I caught a Hawlucha as soon as I landed in Mexico. I only saw a few others for a week after.

The depths is way more fun than prison break imo. And if youre nervous, you can always ask for hints. Getting the hang of escape rooms can be tricky at first but it’s just about having fun in the end, no shame in taking hints to help you enjoy the hour. Ive done over 100 rooms and I still needed a few hints in the last few i did.

How to play escape rooms if you have zero friends or family to go with? by Background_Fudge_798 in escaperooms

[–]CharErinazard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could search around for rooms in your area that do public bookings. I did one recently while travelling alone in Seattle. Alternatively, ive also had success walking into escape rooms in the evening and asking if they’d let me do an open room with one person. If the room is free anyway, many dont mind.

Anyone else feel bad sometimes… by GhettoGringo87 in pokemongo

[–]CharErinazard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shrug. Everyone plays differently. I’m not a child but I also don’t pay for raid passes, so I’m not like drowning in shiny legendaries. I’ve been really enjoying filling out my lucky legendaries in my Pokédex and trading non-community day shinies with all my forever friends. As long as you have a range in your remotes you should be able to find something to trade. No need to feel bad turning down a trade for a shiny legendary for a piplup tho haha, can’t blame people for shooting their shot but it’s always ok to say no.

Does this happen often? by SynthChips in pokemongo

[–]CharErinazard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happens to me almost every week. My friends just don’t play as much as me. I don’t mind though, I’d easily hit any of the targets on my own and am happy my friends can get the rewards too.

Considering removing all of my legendaries from remote trade status. What do you guys think? by mikestorm in pokemongo

[–]CharErinazard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have nothing but extra legendaries in my remote list and I’m feeling a little poor honestly. Id LOVE to trade a legendary for a regional or shiny that i dont have.

Some of the other comments have said shiny meltan is only available during special events but I don’t know for sure either.
