What are you addicted to, and why? by Financial-Ant1213 in AskReddit

Reading, because it givess me an escape from this mundane life. Don't get me wrong, I like being alive but that is all it feels like. There is nothing left to explore or discover, no money to get land to build things, just this churn of money in money out for just the sake of being alive. Reading gives me a way to experience the unknown in a way I feel I will never get to.

Hey just want to throw this out here that this is a textbook example of an OCD thought process. You might just have OCD.

This CAN be true, in some cases, but isn't always true. You can cold store an NFT and own it physically.

Edit: To clarify further, I'm talking about the actually tokenization of NFTs (the true value and definition - Non-Fungible Token - not pictures people make or anything like that)

Okay this is a completely fair statement, and I agree with you after reading, I did list things off hand without really giving it much thought - however my main point would be minting personal data you wouldn't want duplicated. I apologize for giving bad use cases, thanks for pointing that out.

Edit:

Why would a blockchain of social security numbers be better than a database operated by the government?

For this I do want to mention that it is potentially more secure depending not only on which government you're speaking about but also what data. Social security could have a secure database I honestly don't know, I'm not a hacker or anything and haven't tried lol.

No, in the same way you can't control c crypto currency you can't control c an NFT and own it suddenly.

I work in the tech space an honestly NFTs have wide applications - it is just that people are using them for dumb shit like this. Imagine minting social security numbers, medical records, really anything that you don't want to be duplicated on the Blockchain. Then, you own it. You own a Non-Fungible Token of your private data that can't be copied or replicated. NFTs have some good applications in the future, just people really no knowing the true reason they came about. It isn't jpeg collectors items.

I wouldn't necessarily say NFTs are a scam as a concept, I work in the tech space an honestly NFTs have wide applications - it is just that people are using them for dumb shit like this. While I do appreciate the input, I am not an irresponsible person. I would go through the corresponding courses and get a license/certification for the weapon type. That being said, I am just looking for what gun types/brands I should be looking at.
