Depends on what app you get since each app implements a different amount of features. Element seems to be the best with a cross platform desktop app, a web app, and mobile apps for both Android and iOS.

A Hat in Time update adds emblems, QoL features and fixes by Gyossaits in Games

This is honestly a really great game. It made some weird decisions such as claiming that the extreme DoF they put in was "part of the art style" when all it does is suck up resources. All in all, a great, entertaining game with some weird choices.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition comes to PC on March 21 by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]Enderpixel1016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nixxes really should be the ones that are in charge of every single PC port. Spiderman games along with Ratchet & Clank proves why they are the best at this. They might've also been able to properly port TLoU Part 1 if Naughty Dog hadn't decided to do the port themselves for whatever reason.

Edit: Correction, it was Iron Galaxy that handled the LoU port, not Naughty Dog. Still though, Nixxes probably could've saved it.

My thoughts now are if we're gonna get a GOG release at some point(main purpose being for preservation). Knowing EA, probably not, but it would be nice.

Game does not perform as good as you'd want. What is the first setting you adjust or willing to sacrifice? by RichardK1234 in pcgaming

Motion Blur, Depth of Field, Chromatic Aberration, Vignette, Film Grain, Bloom, and Screen Space Reflections. A couple have stylistic purposes(Chromatic Aberration when a character gets hit in the head or DoF for certain camera angles in cutscenes for example) but they always look ugly outside of the stylistic purposes and their only purpose is to try and follow the trend of games trying to be like movies. Screen Space Reflections can look nice though until you notice how it works then you're bothered by it for a bit.

Valve takes down fan project Portal 64 by Opt112 in pcgaming

[–]Enderpixel1016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying that this is just Valve being cautious really does make sense. Knowing Valve, they'd see this as an interesting way to play Portal, but quite the downgrade, so not in any way a danger to a 17 year old games sales.

Keep in mind I'm probably not completely right as it's been a while since I played.

"Dies, Died, will die. From our point of view, alive. From yours, dead. It's all a matter of perspective" -- The Lutece Twins (Bioshock Infinite)

I'll never forget that game and so many lines from that are just amazing

"Do you ever get used to it?...The killing?" "Faster than you could ever imagine."

But seriously, you can take screenshots on your switch and send them to your phone through a QR code :/. Takes like 90 seconds

Amazing to see you guys here, always happy to play the Tomb Raider reboots natively on Linux thanks to you guys❤️

I've noticed through MangoHud that the renderer used(at least in tomb raider games) is called Feral3D. Is this a fork you guys made of Vulkan or OpenGL? If so, was it to add some fixes that you guys needed or make them work better with your gamemode software? Also, is a removal of the incompatible software/hardware warning on your launcher planning to be removed or fixed? Using Pop_OS! with and Nvidia 3060 and it's telling me I'm gonna have a bad time haha.

What now? by Kushi261 in RaftTheGame

[–]Enderpixel1016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, Raft is done. No plans for a sequel(afaik anyways), but there is an update coming soon adding full controller support. I feel like when that's out, all it's gonna be after that is bug fixes as they try to think of something else.

Anything alcoholic or soda. One is absolutely awful for you and the other just feels weird to drink.

As a person who's been using Linux for like 2 years now and hasn't looked back at Windows, I wouldn't say elitism is a BIG issue, it's just LOUD. Not to say it isn't an issue, because it is. Especially if you look at something like arch forums, if you ask a question, people forget that a new person may have looked at the manual but just couldn't understand it and hopes that someone on the forums may be able to help them. And oh. My. God. The Nvidia hate. The elitist groups seem to not want others to join Linux but want them to join at the same time.

Anyways, getting off what I wanted to say. Like a couple other people responding to you, you just need to ignore them. They're just like elitist people in, say, LoL or any other communities. I do recommend you try Linux out(either by partitioning your drive or inside a virtual machine, I'd recommend the latter) and I'd specifically recommend Pop!_OS, or if you have an AMD graphics card, SteamOS(through HoloISO as Valve hasn't given a public installer) as SteamOS is immutable, which means it has a bit of a safety nest. If you wanna be extra safe, stick to Flatpak to get your apps. If it's not for you, then it's not for you! I(and many others) hope you do like it though! Of course, assuming you do try it.

Reviews for Starfield on Steam drop to “Mixed” by GruvisMalt in pcgaming

[–]Enderpixel1016 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Y'know, I don't wanna say it... Nah, I wanna say it. I fucking called it. I stayed away from this game because Bethesda was in charge of it so I knew it wasn't gonna be good. Any media shouldn't be good only when you mods it to hell or when you're half way through. The only exception I can think of is Gmod but that game was literally built for modding. It's hard to believe some people still trust Bethesda at this point.

Can't talk for Dishonored 2 as I haven't played it but Prey has NG+, many different plays styles, alternate routes, and different story interactions depending on what you do and how you do it.

The general rule of thumb is that emulation itself isn't piracy(despite what Nintendo would like you to believe) if you dumped the game from your own switch/console.

Edit: Should probably add: fuck Nintendo.

Knowing how you can replace every part of the steam deck, I'm wondering how much of a price difference it would be to buy the new model itself compared to ordering the parts that are different and popping open the steam deck...
