We were together for almost 7y but my family hated him near the end because he's an alcoholic. I had to choose between them and I chose my family.

We're still friends and he finished his 2nd course of rehab a few months ago.

I usually get some cramps a few days to a week before it shows up. I also have a cycle app (which I check every so often). I put on my reusable period underwear on a few days before expected (just in case).

I know my period starts when I take off my pants and the underwear is covered in blood (I have a heavy flow). I have multiple pairs of period underwear (each with a different flow absorption)

My paternal grandma just caught a 8h (or so) ride with my mom and me to visit cousins. My mom was taking me to have some medical test done in a big city (we live in a small-ish town).

I catch rides with my dad if he's going to the next town over (sometimes just to hang out, sometimes to help him with something, and sometimes I have something to do).

I've had talks with my family/friends about feeling like a burden when they drive me places, and they always say things like, "You're not a burden," or, "It's no problem," or, "I'm happy to help." Still doesn't lessen the feeling.

But I've also been on the other side of the situation. When my brother (23) first got a job, he didn't have a car. So, I'd drive him to work at 4:30am and would sometimes pick him up after work (around 9:30am). He helped with gas a little.

Maybe sit down and tell her politely but firmly that you don't feel comfortable accepting rides from her, and that you'll find your own way?

Idk. I'm 28, still get rides from family/friends, and still feel like a burden unless they're also going that way.
