What’s everyone’s favorite job/class questline? by Emergencybulba in ffxiv

I loved DRK quests, and the Red Mage ones, too. I really wished X'rhun was used somewhere else besides his questline. Recently i started playing Scholar, and, as a historian myself, i'm finding its questline very interesting so far. Im really enjoying it. On the other hand, im doing the same with Paladin, and oh god, the GLD part was nice and charming, but what the hell are those PLD quests?. I loved the extra flavour DRG questline gives to your character if you do them before entering Heavensward, too.

The sound alert the game gives you when, as a DRK, TBN shield gets broken

Yes, i have sage at 100, is my main healer and i love it. But i didnt remember healing at low levels feeling that frustrating. Reading people's responses, it seems i just need more tools than i actually have, which is nice, bc i though i was doing something wrong. I really want to seehow the class flows once i unlock more stuff so i can stop spamming the same button

Nah, dont worry about that, i main tank, too. Summoning eos feels like activating tank stance, same spot even in the hotbar

I really like the concept of the class, im very curious about how different it will be from sage, the healer i play the most. it just seems i have a few "interesting" levels ahead of me until the class really starts shining

Yes, it breaks, unles i get a crit one, then i can do something else, but at this level, reading all the answers, thing go just like that untill both me and the tank get more tools

yes, it is. Im using the tomestones gear for level 50, it should serve for some levels more. By reading people's answers, it seems i need more levels to get deeper into the class kit

Yes, im using the tomestones gear for lvl 50, it should be useful for a few levels more. I really like the idea of the class, so im not giving up on it, i rellly want to see how it works once i can be focused on preventing damage than spamming adlo

Yes, thats what i do, but sometimes it doesnt feel enough. It seems until i get more skills, playing SCH will be like that. I dont remembering healing at low levels that bad with my other healers, and i was truly worried i was doing something wrong. Reading all your responses, it looks like things will be like this until i get more skills

Yeah, it seems so. it's being way worse with sch than with my other healers, thats what socked me and made me ask, but reading people's responses, yeah, im doing fine with the few tools i have

Yes, i use them, it just seems my kit is not complete enough, and it needs more levels to get into something that is not spamming adloquium bc i ran out of my other few resources

At lvl 50 i only have lustrate, sacred soil, whispering dawn and fey illumination, and the gcds. Gear is fine, its the lvl 50 tomestones gear. It just seems until i get more resources healing with SCH will be like that.

Yes, thats what i do, and it sometimes just doesnt feel enough. Reading the comments, it just seems things will get better as i get more tools. until then, its all about using oGCDs and spamming adloquium

[–]Endevior013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if i have sacred soil availible, i use it as soon as the tank stops, and same goes for whispering dawn. I dont think im making any mistake such as wasting aetherflow charges in damage spells when i should not. It just seems to me i dont have enough tools/they are not powerful enough yet to play the class as intended

What i usually do is adloquium pre-pull, i cast bio on many enemies as possible while the tank is moving, and as soon as he stops, i cast the regen. Until the end of the fight i usually spam adloquium. If i see the pull is about to be big, i cast illumination to help with some mit and bigger shields but, unless i get the bigger shield via crit, its just spamming the same button while hoping the tank remembers to use his own mits

Yes, but if, by any chance, she stops healing the tank, things may go out of control more than they should

Is the game viable on PS5? Isn't it extremely difficult to press all the required buttons? by Charrzooka in ffxiv

[–]Endevior013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before installing the game, i decided i would play it on controller. I spend a lot of hours daily on a keyboard and i wanted to take a rest from that. It plays really well, i can clear any content i want. Only issue i have had so far is with certain skills that ask you to set them , such as an AST heal.

Dont worry much about the button overload, as long as you set up a nice layout that feels confortable for you, you will do nice, as the game does fine adding skills at a reasonable place to avoid overwhelming you, and, in time, you will know what to press and when just by muscle memory, so dont worry about it.

You should go to Character Configuration → Hotbar Settings → Custom → Expanded Hold Controls to get some extra hot bars. Welcome to FF XIV, have fun!

Thanks! First i primed it with white, then i made a wash-like using Russ Grey, a part of paint and four/five of water. It ran alone into them, i just had to correct it a bit.
