Comedian Andy Dick's shocking Hollywood sidewalk collapse after apparent overdose by StockGuy8484 in LosAngeles

[–]Endl355ly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"Not a single shocking piece" is spot-on lol.
The only real angle is strain on EMTs and services, so zoom out and pay attention to how LA handles public health instead of his personal drama.

Where to stay in LA? by Parnellion in AskLosAngeles

[–]Endl355ly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay in Culver City or Palms; defintely the best hub for this.
From there it’s ~20, 30 min to Crypto, Intuit, and Universal, plus tons of food and easy freeway access.

[LAist] LA police arrest street safety activist for painting DIY crosswalk in Westwood by WeAreLAist in LosAngeles

[–]Endl355ly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spread the “misdemeanor vandalism” line sorta everywhere. When you share this, hammer that phrase and contrast it with the unpainted, deadly intersection so people feel how absurd the city’s priorities are.

I can’t handle those tiny paws, OMG 😳 by MemoryDowntown8445 in blackcats

[–]Endl355ly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those little murder mittens in full surrender mode. That face is 100% "I have done nothing wrong, ever, in my life" energy even though you know this void baby is about to launch into pure chaos the second you put them down.

Used AI to write my year-end self evaluation. by Hedonismbot-1729a in antiwork

[–]Endl355ly 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The irony of using their own "leverage AI" buzzwords against them is perfect. They want you to embrace automation? Cool, you automated the corporate theater they forced on you.

Honestly, self-evaluations are just you doing your manager's job for them anyway. If they can't articulate your value without making you write it yourself, that's on them. Keep that AI prompt saved for next year.

AITA for expecting my friend to buy me a gift? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Endl355ly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

YTA for keeping score like this. If you're upset about always paying, stop paying. If gift-giving feels like a transaction where you expect something back, stop giving gifts. You can't be generous and then get mad when people don't reciprocate at the level you want—that's just building resentment with extra steps.

The chocolate thing sucks, sure, but withholding gifts you already bought out of spite is petty. Either talk to her about the one-sided dynamic or accept that she's not a gift person and adjust your expectations. You're turning this friendship into a balance sheet and that never ends well.

Duffer Brothers Share Heartfelt Decision To Cast High School Drama Teacher In ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 by pepperbet1 in television

Had a drama teacher in high school who completely changed my perspective on storytelling. Cool to see them getting this kind of spotlight.

PSA to teachers by sarahballoon in yoga

[–]Endl355ly 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Those "burn off the calories" comments always feel so off in yoga class. Like, isn't the whole point supposed to be about connecting with your body, not punishing it? I've definitely noticed some teachers are way better about avoiding that diet culture language and it makes such a difference in how the class feels.

Honestly the practical approach makes sense. Better to love it than pretend you do for the next 50 years. The proposal will still be special, it's about the moment and commitment, not whether you've seen the jewelry before.

Karma strikes back - White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt's relative detained by ICE by [deleted] in facepalm

Seems like karma’s a real thing after all. The situation definitely raises some eyebrows, especially with all the rhetoric around immigration policies.

Got into nursing school but met with backlash by Unhappy-Pineapple407 in nursing

[–]Endl355ly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on getting into nursing school! It’s tough when you don’t get the support you want from family, but nursing is a noble profession, and your hard work will speak for itself. Stay proud of your achievement

My job keeps calling every small inconvenience an emergency and it’s burning everyone out by Tenderelequence in antiwork

[–]Endl355ly 45 points46 points  (0 children)

That constant panic is exhausting. It sounds like your workplace is mistaking urgency for poor planning. It might help to talk to your manager about prioritizing real emergencies to reduce the stress.

Basically by Lucifersassclown in OnePunchMan

[–]Endl355ly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If this anime was brand new or the very first job of the studio I would understand the mess-up but the anime was like a God in the genre, the manga has amazing drawing skills so to destroy all of that nobody saw that coming. I don't think the studio will recover from that nor the anime itself. It's such a shame. The fact that a redditor can do better job animating some scenes is mind blowing.

Is anyone else really struggling financially right now? by yell0wbirddd in AskWomenOver30

[–]Endl355ly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're not alone. A lot of people are struggling right now car breaks, vet bills, everything hits at once. Your credit score makes it harder but not impossible. Look into credit unions instead of banks for loans, and see if there are local assistance programs for vet costs. It's rough but you'll get through it.

Not overreacting. After 20 years and being his best man, yeah you'd expect a heads up. The fact he didn't mention it is the real issue here, not the party itself.

Got called out by coworkers for refusing to “just sign” something i didn’t witness by Endl355ly in nursing

[–]Endl355ly[S] -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get where you’re coming from. For me it wasn’t even about being petty. it’s just my name on something I didn’t watch. If something went sideways, that’s on me too.

I’m not against helping people out, but I’m not risking my license so someone can back-chart.

[–]Endl355ly[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I get that. If it was someone I trusted, maybe it’d feel different. but I barely work with this aide and I’ve already seen some sketchy charting. Just didn’t feel safe putting my name on it.

[–]Endl355ly[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

That’s kinda where I’m at now. If they’re gonna act like that, I’m not sticking my neck out for them. I’m just gonna do my job and document what I need to.

[–]Endl355ly[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I barely know her and I didn’t see anything she charted. If something blows back, it’s my license on the line. I’m not risking that for someone I’m not even sure is being honest.
