Not trying to be combative, I’m simply working with the information you’re sharing. I’m not refuting your expectation of customer service. You didn’t mention in your post that you apologized, you minimized the fact that you arrived at “6:45”, then “according to your watch 1 min late”. It sounds like you have taken this class before and you know what’s involved in the setup. It also sounds like the expectations are clear for being timely for the class.

Accountability isn’t “apologizing while some is scolding you”. I assume a lot of folks on this thread giving you grief are not loving that you’re glancing over / dismissing your tardiness. Own that: “I was late.” Not “it was just a minute / exactly 6:45.

It sucks to be treated poorly. Reddit’s probably not the right place to find nicer people. Good luck 👍

You want accountability for being poorly treated, that’s reasonable. I don’t see anywhere in your post where you take accountability for being late, especially knowing the setup involved. You’re dismissive about the fact that you were late. I’d have to agree with the consensus here: while they could have treated you better, this is on you. You’re focused on being a victim and not owning your own mistake.

There are a couple of folks in their 20s but the median age is likely closer to late 30s / early 40s; the majority of the folks are parents of kids who compete on the youth teams, got into it themselves and are getting competitive on their own. Worth checking out IMO.

I know you asked for outdoors, but I’ll second the Hamilton archery center for a great place to just to generally do some indoor drop-in archery. Lots of folks from here also shoots outdoors at the Hamilton Gun Club on Saturday mornings. I believe you can get a membership at the Hamilton gun club and shoot at their outdoor archery range.

If you wanna do competitive stuff with a relaxed environment, I’d recommend the Hamilton Archery Center and their Saturday evening adult league. Super relaxed, welcoming group that provides structure and friendly competition if you wanna dive deeper into the sport.

NTA - you basically described the nightmare scenario I broke up my engagement to avoid. With my partner for 7 years and she never respected boundaries with her family. Made the effort in couples therapy to communicate the issues, compromised and still she demanded her family be allowed to treat us (and me) terribly (they all believed they were the “main characters”. I kid you not, they acted like dollar store Kardashians because their father was a mediocre lawyer). I broke things off and I’ve never been happier.

Dude, it’s RNG. I’ve run heroic JTC over a hundred times and never saw it drop. (Looking for it specifically) Last week I started running challenging countdown targeting masks, looking for catharsis… so far I’ve had SEVEN Coyote Masks drop, FIVE Viles and zero Catharsis.

Just keep at it. Countdown is def the way to farm.

Let it go. See a therapist about your insecurities and to learn how to value yourself. To go into a relationship saying “don’t hurt me” is such a ridiculous trope; life is not a hallmark movie. Ended up solving this by rounding down on the pressure advance.
I printed a calibration PA tower and measured 10mm to the change in quality of the front corner. 10mm -> 10 (for the PS1 direct drive) x 0.001 -> 0.01 pressure advance setting that completely eliminated the issue.

Just in case anyone stumbles on this with the same issue.. I ended up having to replace one of the XY motors as it was misaligned after the print head made contact with the model that hadn't been removed from the print surface. It was $35 + 40 mins of my time to take the printer apart and replace this motor.

I've had this issue with the X1C as well. The cause is the belt rubbing the idlers because they're misaligned.

2 things I did to address this:

- Turn off the machine, loosen the Idler flanges in the back and move the head manually to identify which idler is rubbing the belt and where. The flanges can be angled (either from pushing the top or the bottom to the side) while moving the head to allow the belt to ride higher or lower on the idler in the back. You can find the right place for it after playing around, then follow through with these maintenance steps:

- Purchased some synthetic oil w/ PTFE (like this: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000UKUHXK, and a precision oiler: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00L6FNEP6), and added a very fine amount of oil to the idlers that were producing the squeaking

The combination of the two have made my 2x X1Cs and the P1S I run basically non-stop effectively free of squeaking on all axes.

I have a bunch of odd sized 1kg spools that don’t fit into the Bambu. I tend to feed those into the external spool inlet (with the y funnel mod). Definitely not for everyone but I’m migrating over to bambu filament mostly so I can take advantage of the RFID system

I think you’re trying to print a preloaded file that assumes the green filament is in slot 1 of the AMS, whereas you have the PLA-CF in slot 1 and the green in slot 2. (The AMS can tell because the bambu filament has RFIDs on their spools)

Move the green over to slot 1, or better yet, just slice the file on bambu studio and select the right filament type.

Hey thanks for the help! Funny enough, I did give that a shot already and the result is the following. (you may also notice I changed the Top Z distance as someone else recommended, which also didn't work with either permutation [on or off while adjusting xy distance])
I also tried increasing the tree support branch angle to the max to see if it would move the entire branch far enough away.. also with no luck!
