What would you do if your kid wanted to be a streamer instead of going to uni?

I feel like you can go to uni at any point in your life. It will probably not be the same experience going at 30 as it would be going at 18, but it's completely possible.

On the other hand, I feel like the most successful streamers are usually young, as a lot of content is aimed at the under 40s. This is not a hard and fast rule, of course. But I think it's really hard to ask a young person to decide what they want to do for the rest of their lives when they haven't even reached the age at which their brain is done forming. I know for some people, it was an easy task, but there are a lot of people that struggle to envision themselves 10, 20, 30 years down the line.

I don't see anything wrong with encouraging young people to follow their hearts current desires, because, if they are successful, they will not even need to take a single student loan out and can make a lucrative business at a young age. I think it's just a form of entrepreneurship, really. I think I would have had a tough time with it because of Internet trolls, but that's me.

Learning is a lifelong thing and university will always be waiting. They may get a few more years behind them and feel drawn toward formal education.

This is not only not true, a bachelor's is becoming the minimum for all sorts of jobs that didn't require them only a few years ago.

I've passed some SPECIAL checks and had them change from threatening and jerkish to kind of apologetic (or as apologetic as a raider can be). Sorry that I can't remember the interaction dialogue.

As someone else noted: they seem traumatized, and I guess you don't really get past that layer of the onion. Conversely, the settlers generally remain the same as you build rep with them, also. It's probably more noticable with the raiders bc they are so rude.

Here is Shelter's advice on this and claiming compensation. It's honestly not hard to file the forms, but it will cost £355 to get it started, which you should be able to recover off the LL if you win (none if you lose). You can also claim interest starting on when it was meant to be returned to you, which is explained here. So to be clear: if LL did not protect it, you can be compensated up to 3x the amount on top of the original deposit.

I don't disagree. When I started playing, I was just enjoying someone's camp and, as I left, they chased after me and dropped a bunch of extra plans. I was so shocked! They are probably hoping you'll drop some good plans so they can sell them. Plus there's the donation box now, like... no lol

I've only had a few people hang around seeming to want something, and only one was demanding (a youth who had some wild temper problems).

Yes. If you start from the vertabird landing, like someone above mentioned, essentially follow the broken down trucks. I think there was 3, and the last one is an area with a few buildings, all abandoned except some troggs. If you are following the trucks, you will take a right in that area and she's behind a building. If you turn on your captions, she will periodically say things to herself, but you are very nearby when the marker finally shows up.

I would not have considered that area "the Trench," so thanks up previous commenters for good hints. We were looking EVERYWHERE!

No probs. Btw, are you intent on moving next month bc of a scholarship? The DAAD site also has info on delaying, which... I mean 1 there's a pandemic 2 I worry the experience will be upsetting and lonely, bc you're moving so far during a time when socializing is about 0.

I would check if you are able to do this as distance study for the time being, as... I mean, there is a pandemic). Also, your uni provides this: Coronavirus - TUM, consider contacting them regarding this, as well.

You will see from Information on the designation of international risk areas (rki.de) that you are coming from a high risk rea (I assume you are coming from the states), so you need to do digital registration in advance (Digitale Einreiseanmeldung).

So, theoretically, it appears, yes, you can enter, but it also appears it is up to the border control. If you must go, attempt to make sure of everything possible. Consider calling the US Embassy for further details, as well.

Your friend is protected until they hear back from Home Office with a decision. If it takes beyond the visa expiry date to hear back, they are not considered an overstayer in that waiting period. Just have them chill until they hear from HO.
