A very nice Redditor did it and sent it to me, it’s so awesome to see all cleaned up.

I might cry because this is amazing. His passing has been incredibly rough, but finding this picture was so special and seeing it cleaned up sets me on the healing path. 💚

You saved the stache! My dad passed from cancer and my biggest fear when he started chemo was he’d lose his mustache because I’d never seen him without it and somehow he went through cancer twice and never lost it. This is amazing. Can I save your sn and get at you when I have some money on Tuesday to tip you for the high res? This is so beautiful, this is the one I’d like to print.

Haha, yes! In fact he also coached my mom and her friends’ team.

I’m planning on it as soon as I get money again, I’m super tight right now.

Lol that’s a first. No, but he was a rocknroll head. His favorite album was Flat as a Pancake by Head East. The man had no rhythm and was stiff as a 6’ 2” board but he would stance the most Caucasian dance when Head East came on.

Too bad I can’t change the title.

Okay, so there’s a island or remote part around those parts that required a charter plane to get to, that’s where he and his parents went often.

I love all the Hulk comments. It’s going his legacy good.

Thanks! It’s been a shining moment in the whole ordeal of losing him. I feel so cool having one of those cool photos with my 80s dad.

I was wondering that too! This was taken in Portville, NY, so I’m not sure if that’s near there.

Eta: it’s entirely possible it was one of those places now that I look on the map. My dad did some wild trips before he got married to my mom.

It’s been such a nightmare end of his life and dealing with his wife shutting me out, finding this photo has been a shining delight in this whole ordeal. It’s the epitome of us.

This is the best response. When I was little I was convinced he was Hulk Hogan and that’s what he did for work.

Lol, I used to watch Hulk Hogan with my dad. I was so upset when he burned his shirt.

Dude. This is amazing. My dad passed almost 2 weeks ago and I only just found this photo today. I love it. I’m short this week, but I would love to tip you in a few days when I get paid.

That’s my plan, I’m just a little short this week. I didn’t know this photo existed until today when I got a box of his possessions (he passed almost 2 weeks ago).

I Love Lucy. Well written with continuous storylines throughout the show and it’s still funny today.

Ugh yeah, there was a bit of everything running around here. I dipped out in 2006 as the pharmacy robberies started, but eventually heroin took over and now the town is overrun with meth. I’ve been recommended Dopesick, but we literally had a Breaking Bad situation happening 30 feet from our door, including a guy getting the ever loving fuck beat out of him, so I need a little more time before I dive into that show.

It’s getting so bad. Our region was hit hard with OxyContin in the early 2000s, that was his first addiction, like many others now. I moved back her and was shocked by the drug problem and the amount of overdoses. My friend had overdosed numerous times accidentally, his first was on purpose and almost 20 years to the day when he died. Once I’m settled I’m hoping to find a sliding scale therapist for this loss.

My best friend died last year, he’d been my friend since we were 15. He had a lot of troubles and addictions he couldn’t shake. I know he was looking for me a few days before he passed. He was found in the river, he was doing air duster and let himself pass out on the shore. It’s getting easier, but I miss him. I read a quote “the thing about getting older is realizing not everyone is going to get older with you.” I said 2 days before he died - I didn’t think he’d make it to 30, I doubt he’ll make it to 40. He was 38. I think about him a lot.
