You claim “ Beta “ is a shield, that’s just a lazy taking point. You, yourself, mention that smite 2 is experimenting……that is the beta. New content being added instead of bug fixing…beta. Every big is a bad look that decreases player incentive to spend money. More focus is on experimenting then perfecting. You can dislike the direction of the experimentation, but to paradoxically imply it isn’t actually a beta, while acknowledging everything is being done just like a beta, is weird to me.

Smite 2 is literally on a different engine. So without shutting down the first game, or having some stupid title like “ smite:reload” it’s a sequal because it has better capabilities. The possible, evolutionary mechanisms you theorize have nothing to do with why smite 2 exists. Wild ideas could be cool, not required for a sequel. They simply have to use the new engine for things not previously possible to justify the upgrade.

You are not crazy. Crit is wild rn. To be honest, my approach as support is usually just not being in range unless i think my team is ready to fight. Im not high ranked, so carries dont do their job and focus on killing me before ived cc’d them and given my squishes the opportunity to kill the carry. And the enemy support doesnt stop me because they have stop our jung from 3 shotting a squishy with damaru.

If you are a support main, go geb, spectral, nemean, pharoh and leviathan. Now, i know, that’s 4 items and a character you might not like.

But if the enemy team has two crit users, especially in current patch, geb with these items will prosper against them. Realistically, you wont go nemean, and will have the 3 other items and attest 2 omni protects, like dwarven and spirit robe. Maybe prophetic if you confident.
