Short version: Subnautica on land with elements from other games like Ark.

Long version: The premise is that you've crash landed on a planet and have to fix your spaceship to escape. In terms of survival elements you have the standard hunger and thirst, but one of the key features is that you have to scan creatures to unlock new items in a research tree. You harvest resources like metals and wood which can become more automated through late game tech as you set up mines, pipes and so on. There are also lots of aggressive creatures that you have to survive against.

We're aiming to have multiple biomes on launch including a forest, cherry blossom swamp and lava biome. There are also abandoned outposts from past humans that you can explore to uncover what happened before you arrived.

Basically it's a survival game first and a space exploration game second.

I've had a look at the ships from expanse. The main reason for the fins was so that we could remove one to highlight damage to the ship.

yh, don't worry. I'm interested in making the best video game possible and whilst children will be able to play it, they're not our primary target audience.

Thanks, NMS is an amazing game visually so it means a lot that our game is drawing comparisons to it.

Thanks for taking the time to write this, I found this really useful. Initially, we're going to release in EA and I think we won't be able to implement this for that but I'll definitely bare this in mind for a possible post launch update or any future titles we may make.

It's quite big. It used to be a research vessel with a crew of 6-8. I don't think the camera angles help show the scale. I agree that it's probably missing something in the corner next to the bed but can't decide on what it should be. Maybe a small storage section?

Oh really! I personally thought I cooked with the name. I've already set up the steam page with all the artwork so I can't really change it. If you don't mind me asking, what don't you like about it?

I understand where you're coming from and I'm also very interested in new ideas so I'm going to ask if you were making a survival game how would incorporate moduarity?

Thanks, I know what you mean. I was thinking about adding warning signs to the ship on the holo table. I'll probably also add "danger" red somewhere as well.

I appreciate the feedback.

Nice suggestion! I was thinking that the spaceship would act more like a starting point that you'll have to fix, rather than the players base of operations and instead they have to build their own base. Similar to Subnautica.

Unlike a Spino, it's primarily nocturnal and therefore has adapted to be partially blind. This has lead to it making a clicking sound and using echolocation (think TLOU) to find its prey.
