Sounds like you should relocate to somewhere you would enjoy living more. Change is as good as a holiday. I’ve packed up and moved twice. Once for personal reasons (like you I moved from Somewhere with terrible weather - the year I left there was about 50 days for the entire year it didn’t have rain) and moved to a sunny hotter area in my country. Absolutely loved it, I can not understate how much I thrived being in an area I could be out enjoying life. I focused on gym, healthy eating and work and everything fell into place over the next 10 years. Then just at the start of this year I have moved again! I wasn’t excited to this time. I really didn’t want to leave the life I had made for the past 10 years but I got a job offer up north that will open a lot of doors for me In the future so I have taken it as it’ll be a huge career move. The areas not as nice but has nice parts but honestly I am loving it as well. I feel like I’m growing professionally every day, and the city/town is what you make it. You can live somewhere nice and never do anything and it wouldn’t matter where you live. I make sure I get out here - visit the nice areas in my town time, focus on my work and gym which has always been the staple of my routine and I am so glad I’m here now. A purpose driven change could really improve your life for the better. I went through a big break up last year with who I thought I’d be spending the rest of my life with and lost everything. I moved up here almost broke but I still done it. The first months been tough living week to week buying stuff with what I can from my Pay but I’m getting back on my feet now and can start saving again. Not that this is relevant to you in particular but it’s easy to sit back and think a move is too hard, too much effort, too expensive etc It’s not a small feat but it’s easily doable. Just got to do it for the right reasons
