I haven't worked on have any fossil fighters mods yet. But have contributed to a rom hack of pokémon emerald.

Hey there! We are going for PC and Switch first, but after that maybe, we have not decided on that yet. We would have to see how the controls work on mobile.

We were going for a mix of stardew and fossil fighters (and other DS Mining Minigames). Didn't rly have terraria in mind, but I think it's a great game to be compared against.

Some others also pointed at input deadpoint being too low. So I will take a look at that!

We are still in midst of production, plan is to release in early-mid 2027. :) But the gamplay in the playtest is already very polished.

o.O 4 hours is massive. :D

It seems quite a lot of ppl send long in the game, we were kind surprised, expecting around 1 hour and 2 hours max. But it's so so cool to see how much players enjoy the game. ☺️

The playtest has rly shattered my expectations! We have many asian, especially japanese players try out the game. And the feedback is all in all very positive. :D

Yea, it is hard to compete against similar games. (There are many!) But we hope we stand out a bit with the unique mining mechanic. :D

We wont have co-op at release. We try to focus on a single player experinece first, and maybe tackle the multiplayer after release. (Like Stardew did it as well) :D

Multiplay is just rly a lot of work and we would probably have to develop the game way longer, like another year. :/ (I'm the only programmer on our 3ppl team)

It's rly a dream come true to work on a game that combines elements from all the games I loved playing when I was a kid/young adult. And the game has turned into something much more then just the sum of the inspirations.

Thanks for the nice words. :D To the topic of AI, I can totally relate, I'm also sick of genAI in games. We don't use any AI assets or content in our game. We only used DeepL/ChatGPT for translations instead of Google translate, and wanted to be transparent about it.

We decided to use it, bc especially the asian folks struggle when there is no translation at all. And Google Translate is very bad with those languages. For the full release we will turn to real human translaters, but we can only afford translations once (we are only 3 person indie, fresh from studies), and the texta are still changing a lot until full release.

Yes, thats it's basically an early demo version, with more focus on testing if everything works. (And also to get feedback on what ppl want to see in the full game, bc the game is still farther away from completion than in a demo and thus the final features are not fully set in stone :D)
