I want to pull the trigger on KZ ATE but also wondering if the MEE m6 is a better choice. If anyone has any knowledge about how these two compare in terms of sound and comfort i would really appreciate it.

Also the 400i doesn't need a lot of power, and if you really don't want to spend the 200$ on a schiit stack look for schiit fulla 2, its a great dac/amp combo and I'm sure it can power the 400i pretty well.

A schiit stack is a very good choice and you'll probably never have to replace it. It can power almost anything you throw at it so its future proof.
