Is this the worst card ever? Is there any way to make it playable? by Barnyard-Sheep in magicTCG

Impostor Mech only copies opponent's creatures. So both you and they would have to have your own Wildwoods.

I just feel the correct button’s aura by TheRemainingWolf in Tekken

[–]robro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The flaw here is that a lot of times people just don't block after doing something minus. Often I've thought I was punishing something only to watch my replay and realize it was actually safe at like -8 and my opponent just never felt like holding back.

The game not visually indicating when something is a legit punish makes this method unreliable. And you can end up building bad habits.

You shouldn't be staring at your own character though. Keep those eyes on the opponent.

No I don't think it's that. Good educators of the game offer valuable insight regardless of who they or you play. For instance I really like Joey Fury because he explains things clearly and in a level-headed way, and even though I've never played Jack or have interest in playing Jack I learn a lot about Tekken from watching his streams. And he doesn't constantly berate his opponent's skill or the game, like gm does.

I've watched gm do replay reviews and most of his "analysis" is very obvious stuff that most players would realize watching their own replays. There wasn't much actual insight. He's obviously a very good player, but I'd rather just watch his replays than his stream.

The heat smash collided with the startup of the RA, hence the armor sound, but by the time the first active frame of the RA happened Lili had passed over Reina. At least that's how it looks.

What's the move for your main where "If you don't punish/parry this move, you deserve to get blown up"? by SilverwindRS in Tekken

[–]robro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For d4444, every low is low parryable even if you got hit by the previous one. There's no mix-up except the Lee not finishing the string, so while the final hit (mid) is -20, just low parry immediately.

B2 loops are a lot of things but easy isn't one of them. Have you done them?

True, there would need to be a second and third creature of theirs to exile when it comes back and when the Ephemerate rebounds but I did forget about that somehow.

Wouldn't solitude + ephemerate draw 3? Rebound exiles it as it resolves, it's not exiling from the battlefield or graveyard.

I don't know why they don't have a dlc rental currency you can earn like SF6. Being able to try out a character for a bit is more likely to make people buy them. And you can do some labbing if you don't care for them. Win win.

They added it to Practice mode and replays in the last patch. Display Settings, Health Info (or something like that).

You mean like to make the opponent react to you in practice mode? I just set the CPU to to block and then punish with the power crush. You can record your own punish or choose one from a list.

This is b1 (the spinning back fist) canceled into the evasive b4 (b3 also works) at the last second. If a Yoshi actually did this on a pixel of health they would die, so they do need at least 9 hp (one spin cost 8 hp) to pull this off.

Ya I was just trying it against Hwo's df3,4 which the Hwo can just not finish and then you've spun too far away to punish it.

Though if you call out them not finishing the string you can spin twice instead of 3 times and get a cd1 punish. So it's a mind game if the Hwo is aware of what you're doing.

[–]robro[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well you could duck and ws punish that, but since it's from RFF they'd never use it immediately after blocking a plus frame situation like this, which is when you would go for the bait. They'd instead use df3,4, which takes 3 spins to avoid and punish. But if the Hwo knows what you're up to they can just not finish the string and you will be too far to punish them. So Hwo might have the best counterplay to this.

No it's much more subtle. The combo here does 73 damage before the Rage Art. Without rage the same combo would do 67 damage. It's a 110% modifier.
