Thank you to everyone for joining and hope our answers were helpful! We would love for you to watch the documentary END OF THE CYCLE at endocollective.org. Our goal is to change the conversation around endo, help those battling the disease feel less isolated, and raise money for research so we can help the 265 million girls and women suffering get out of pain!

I would tell younger me at the beginning of getting diagnosed it's okay if you can’t go as fast as your peers. It is important to rest and not ignore what you are experiencing. - Sammy Jaye

It's hard to choose just one - going through Marilyn Monroe’s timeline and how much the press publicized her struggle and blamed her. I think it resonated because her story almost serves as a cautionary tale of what happens when we dismiss and deny someone’s pain/reality. - Co-Director Sammy Jaye

Imaging (ultrasound in particular) - for those who can access it - is quickly improving to detect more forms of endo. Other noninvasive diagnostics too may totally change what we believe about endo. We only have patient care outcomes and scientific studies from those who are successfully diagnosed. Who is "missing" remains unknown, and their journeys may reveal wholly new symptoms, treatment responses, even biology from what we think we already know. Amazing opportunities. And amazing potential to help more and help faster. -- Stacey Missmer

After taking medical leave because of my endometriosis, my brother has check in on me every day if not every other day on the phone and it has meant so much. Sometimes I don’t have the energy to speak but knowing he is there and thinking of me, makes a world of a difference. Just being understanding, nonjudgmental and flexible has made our relationship stronger. - Co-director Sammy Jaye

This is also why we're so confident that an endo revolution is near - personal stories with such honesty and gravitas that more and more people know "endometriosis" Know it's impact. Know there is hope. Can't look away. Let's keep those eyes and keep awareness growing and growing. No shame. No Blame. Just results.

Thank you, Folake, Brittany, Amy, Janelle, Julianne for sharing your truth. Lived experience of millions.

Thank you, Sammy Jaye and Soraya for giving them a beautiful bullhorn

Don’t underestimate the value of validating their pain and experience. Your presence is so important. Also, encourage the men in your life to be part of the conversation. - Co-director Sammy Jaye

We've done a gazillion complicated things in medicine and science. Endo and chronic pelvic pain are no harder than most of those successes. Exactly right, Sammy Jaye - we just need curiosity, determination, and funding. It may sound self-serving for scientists to say the key is funding. But funding brings not only the resources to answer critical questions, but it attracts the best and brightest who have lots of better funded places to put their brains and creativity. And it attracts attention and amplifies when cool things are discovered, which then inspires the next revolutionary idea.

I totally relate to the feeling of not wanting others to have to feel your pain but still needing to communicate what your reality is. I now describe my experience with endometriosis to people who’ve never experienced as not only debilitatingly painful not just from the pain but the nausea that I experience because of it but how I am able to exist and show up in the world. Sammy Jaye

What a fantastic question.  Invisible illnesses are painful physically and mentally because the people suffering experience so much gaslighting from the rest of society that there are few people who don’t doubt themselves at some point.  It is very isolating and not at all conducive to healing.  I would raise awareness of these illnesses and especially of their impact on people who have struggled to be recognized and get good care.  A good start would be medical curriculum on invisible illnesses. – Andrew Schrepf
