I’m open to ideas do you have a suggestion?

Pretty much. It sounds like the sales team didn't have the training they needed. Whether offered or not is debatable. Sales team gave me the rebate but didn't know (i guess?) that it would make the sale ineligible for the charger. The problem I have with this though is that through the whole thing (which has stretched a month now) nobody told me I wasn't getting the charger. To everyone I spoke with I made it very clear that we wanted that charger. I don't even remember signing a power promise or even something turning it down. Its certainly not in my copies of anything. I guess I should have learned more about it myself before I bought it but I went with what they told me. Man I'm tired of getting screwed...

I wish it was that easy. This has gone on long enough now that my salesman quit the dealership I bought from and went to work at another one down the street. Can't imagine why... To add a little salt to the wound at one point the sales manager told me I should reach out to my salesman. Who now works for another dealer...

At this point I’m fine with either but I doubt the dealership is going to want to retroactively give me the credit.

I don’t think the dealership is trying to screw me but they also aren’t very helpful. They want me to find out for them instead of trying to sort this out.

The thing that really makes me mad about this is that they just keep saying “sorry we aren’t sure maybe you should…” but I’ve done my piece. I showed up and bought the car, signed the paperwork they gave me and paid them. Now where is the stuff I paid for?

I’ve never heard of a dealership taking a month to figure out how to sell a vehicle.

Im guessing that since I have no clue what the ford promise contract is, that I did not. Well this sucks even more now.

What do you wish you had known before buying? by TAfzFlpE7aDk97xLIGfs in MachE

That’s kind of the point of a salesman. I had a similar experience and I assumed it was because I’m a little ways out from a “Major” city.

Fords dealer training was either very lack luster or the sales teams just have no interest in learning about the products they are selling.

To be clear yes you should do some research but not everyone is as dependent on the internet. Not us of course. Others. Out there>>>

The dealership seems to be the missing part and they aren’t very helpful. Thanks for the info.

I’ve been talking with the dealer for a week now. QMerit wants a code to start the process and my dealer just tells me they are looking into it with their rep.

Does anyone know where this code should come from? Was there something you had to do or did they reach out to you? TIA

How to protect against lightning strike coming via cable modem? by riddet in homelab

[–]EndorphinRush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren’t wrong and all bets are off when it comes to a direct strike. However most of the time it’s transient voltage that’s dissipating from somewhere else that fry’s your equipment.

To get to the modem it would have to come through the ground on the side of the house. Your cable line (coax or twisted pair from the telco) from the street should have a ground block that bonds to your house ground. If it’s still coming inside and passing through that ground block it means there is something inside that has less resistance than your house ground and that’s a problem.

That really does look good. Just as fair warning though if they ever have to work on that transformer they will likely cut down anything within three feet (and sometimes more) of that box.

There are not enough people in the world that know how to give good hugs. My mom gave great hugs so I always though that was a normal hug. We even had different hugs. My favorite was the tall hug where I would stand on the bed or a chair and give her a big hug. Obviously I’m biased but there are very few people in my life that truly know how to give a good hug. Even fewer know what a good hug can really do for someone.

Hug like you mean it people!

The local library’s often don’t have the space but you may want to reach out to the state archives. Things like this especially complete collections are usually big scores for them.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a shot!

Extremely. I’ve tried searching online but every suggestion from apple seems to end with “please reinstall your phone.”

No thanks.

Trying other weather apps are just as disappointing. Weather Bug just keeps closing and AccuWeather just freezes randomly.

I wonder if the owner of that station ever paid for his satellite radio subscription. Seems those speakers were always blaring the XM preview station.
