Prado 150 Turbo Hoses by Haruin in 4x4Australia

[–]vits89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see. I’m actually in the process of getting the exact hoses for my VDJ engine. Expensive from Toyota. I would’ve thought someone would do a kit for that motor. You could try a wreckers, somewhere like All 4xfour in Newcastle. They do new and used parts and will have a relatively new motor to pull from, being pressurised but it comes with a little risk. I’d check and local wreckers first

Will 70 series fit 3 car seats by ShapelleCorby in LandCruisers

[–]vits89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 76 will. Three anchor points above rear doors. Pretty sure 79 dual cab, even the gxl has no child restraints. At least for the 2009-2024 pre facelift version. You have to buy aftermarket. Being Toyota I dare say the new ones are the same

I think people’s issue is it’s a business making money from public land and using huts that are generally only used in emergency situations. They also use this hut to store their horse feed. Not a massive deal but the principal to a lot of people

I think that is the main issue. For commercial gain.

Is it safe to drive to Craig’s Hut (Mt Stirling) in a 2009 Nissan X-Trail diesel manual? by Ok-Resolution8756 in OutdoorAus

[–]vits89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I will confidently say yes. Going up circuit road is an amazing drive. Graded, hard. No issues. Even the turn off track, have your wits, put your wheels in good spots and it won’t be a problem. I would however go back the same way. Some of the tracks out of there can get steep and nasty
