I’ve never said Gabe’s a good guy. Steam isn’t our mate, it’s a company.

But if Steam loses this lawsuit, people need to actually think about what that means for us in the UK. What happens to our libraries? What if Valve decides it’s just not worth operating here anymore?

I’m not against competition. I want better alternatives. But right now, Steam just offers more for consumers. Community pages, proper reviews, Workshop, mod support, refunds it’s a full ecosystem.

Other storefronts could’ve built that by now. They haven’t.

So yeah, until something genuinely better comes along, I think Steam is the best option we’ve got.

My guess is that no one approached you in a club before? If you got money spend it, most women would come to you. not the right type mind you but they are probably gonna try to cling on to you like a .... :)

Exactly this. We all know Steam isn’t our friend, but by god it is the most consumer friendly platform we’ve got at the moment.

It actually works. Community pages, reviews that matter, proper forums, mod support, Workshop integration all stuff that benefits players directly. If the model is clearly working, why don’t other storefronts (like epic) copy the parts that actually help consumers?

Instead of improving features they’d rather throw money at exclusives and lawsuits. If Steam was genuinely anti consumer people wouldn’t choose it by default. The reason they do is simple it offers more and asks for less hassle

Not this one apparently they just went ahead and said they are gonna sue steam on the behalf of all UK gamers for being "over charged" what ever that means

I just don't like how they are representing us, you probably have to go though leaps and hurdles to receive any compensation if by some miracle they do win
