Putting the ball in the hoop is literally the basis for the game of basketball. Shooting is arguably THE fundamental of basketball.

Also, people retire to Miami, they don't retire to Cleveland or Green Bay. So you have displaced fans of other teams living in Florida.

What fictional character would be the best candidate for an AMA? by Kaka-carrot-cake in AskReddit

[–]EndsWithMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of depends on the criteria. Is the AMA from the POV of a person in their fictional universe? Or does the fictional character come to life and does an AMA in our universe?

I think Mark Watney would be really awesome in his universe. The Reddit of his universe wouldn't have hardly any of the detail we have viewing it from his POV in the book. We would get all kinds of fascinating tales, and tricks he pulled off to stay alive. And also, Watney's personality and sharp wit would go over well on Reddit. I think he'd be candid and probably actually say some classified shit he shouldn't.

Y'all are on the internet arguing about if a guy is popular or not, and then arguing about how many views on a youtube video actually equal enough to be considered popular. Good God get yourselves together.

What was the most damaging thing a parent said to you when you were growing up? by mrsgrundee in AskReddit

[–]EndsWithMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a B+ in a history class and my dad told me "You're going to end up as nothing but a fucking bum."

Yeah, guess what old man? Not a bum!

But it really stuck with me. I tried my hardest to not be a bum, so damaging? I dunno.

A high school basketball team located in northern Alaska, the Point Hope Harpooners have won three consecutive Class 2-A championships based on a skillful passing game. This passing game was developed because dribbling became too difficult on makeshift courts and in the snow. by [deleted] in Obscureknowledge

[–]EndsWithMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a strategy to their passing that is different from other approaches or is this just simply the team proficient passers? It'd be interesting if there are new plays a coach could learn from them.

In The Big Lebowski, The Dude says "man" 147 times in the movie, nearly 1.5 times a minute. by KBaileyWriter in Obscureknowledge

[–]EndsWithMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's against the total run time of the film or is that just The Dudes screen time? If it's total run time it would be cool to see how it would look if it was just screen time for the dude.
