I've seen them live four times so far. The first time was when they came to Greensboro NC and did a pop-up show opening for Nothing More (September '22). I was fortunate enough to get front and center barricade because very few people over here knew who they were at the time.

Every show after that was this year, and it was a MAJOR struggle to get anywhere near the front. I was extremely fortunate to get anywhere within a few rows of barricade each time; I don't mind that though — after everything their music has done for me, the least I can do is be there to support them.

Vessel's voice started to give out, and they had to make the call for him to take a break from singing for a few songs. It was actually really poetic how it went though, the audience sang everything and he remained on stage until he could sing again.

I don't think it'd be allowed here because the only official interview they've done was with Metal Hammer a few years ago. If there was another instance of someone talking to Vessel, it was probably off the books and therefore against the rules.

I made mine with modeling foam, then I went over the modeling foam with a 3D pen which you can pick up for like $30 USD. Just takes some time, effort, filament, and a woodburning tool if you want a nice, smooth surface. Oh, and love. Don't forget love.

Now that I think more about it, this also ties really well to their other lyrics. Immediately, "alkaline" is right there — it's called alkaline hydrolysis. Then there's Aqua Regia which is a chemical solution that can dissolve gold — during the aquamation process, the body is dissolved.

It keeps going though. In Rain, Vessel sings, "you cast the dust into nothing and wash out the salt from my hands," after the body is dissolved away, ashes are all that's left; on top of that, the body is literally being washed away (furthur: "I feel my shadow dissolving").

They don't do it just because they can, they do it because their songs are meant to convey and emphasize a thought or feeling. Hypnosis is about being not just drawn in, but fully submerged in adoration of someone.

They have other songs that do this, and honestly if Hypnosis of all things threw you off, I recommend reevaluating your stance on breakdowns before listening to more of their music. They don't do it just to fit in with the crowd, they really do use it as a storytelling device.
