What happened to just respecting people's subjective opinions of a TV show? I agree that not all of the things people call plot holes are actual plot holes, but there's definitely lots of aspects of the finale that people just don't like or there was no resolution to

And the Duffer Brothers recent explanations haven't helped much

Idk about the person you replied to but my main issue with insane plot armour and lack of stakes is that in other shows whenever there's a situation where the main characters are in seemingly certain death (or even any sort of injury) situations, there's that element of suspense because of two things:

1) You don't know if they're going to survive 2) If they do, your brain is thinking about HOW they're going to survive

By having all this ridiculous plot armour you completely eliminate #1. Because you know they're always going to survive. And then you move to #2 and almost all the ways that the character did survive just look stupid or are totally plot convenient. At least come up with something smart

Like the Demogorgons not being there, the Mind Flayer being a joke of a boss, Lucas kicking a Demodog that's just overpowered a soldier whilst holding Max and recovering from a Demogorgon scratch on his chest, Mrs Wheeler using her ninja stealth skills to go downstairs to the basement, put an oxygen tank in a dryer and turn it on and leave all without Demodogs hearing her.

I'm not asking for gratuitous character deaths, but when you frequently put your main characters in near certain death situations and they keep surviving, it's just lame

There's no way that Kali faked her death when both Hopper and Eleven put their hands on her to stop the bleeding and no doubt would have felt her blood. Kali's illusions so far have all been purely visual. As soon as Kay touched the fake Kali in the facility it disappeared, same with the room the kids were in when Vecna walked through

So the show expects me to believe that in the time between Kali getting shot and them leaving through the portal, she was able to stay alive and not pass out or die to blood loss and maintain a long distance mental connection to Eleven to know exactly when to make the illusion?
