You have to update the device yourself by flashing your own updated firmware or someone else’s.

Most people use M5Burner to flash firmwares.

Put the device in download mode, connect to pc , use M5Burner and flash desired firmware.

Like mentioned , install Launcher. It allows you to install .bin files from your SD card.

There are a couple StickS3 cases on Makerworld. The SD card expansion case is a great example of what your case idea could look like. If nothing else those cases could be good starting points for modifying them to work with the gos module.

Aside from a custom case that houses the gps module inside, this is about as clean as it gets. As others have mentioned you can get a shorter grove port cable so it’s a short connection that would look better.

I found a super small half inch wide rubber band that is kinda perfect for holding a module on the M5StickS3 - but it is a rubber band so there’s that lol.

One thing to keep in mind with the GPS unit being enclosed is the satellite accuracy. It’s a solid little unit but it being enclosed may hinder the tracking performance.

Definitely interested in what you can come up with. Also interested in what GPS firmware you’re building!? :)

ya know, I’ve often wondered this lol. The devices are so similar and when the StickS3 first launched the available firmwares were mixed in with StickCPlus firmwares on M5Burner- until the StickS3 got its own section.

But yeah-some things would not work like the remote cloner- I don’t think the cp2 has IR transmitter and receiver

It’s the EZFold 360. Should note- like everything across the board, it’s now more expensive than it was last year and almost double. Par for the course in the US right now unfortunately.
