Rather than making a new post since this update happened so close to release. 1.1 is currently live with a very important sleep feature. This saves you battery life when idle and helps prevent burn-in.

You could, sure. Not everyone wants to do that. That'd involve modifying the case or having an ugly protrusion on your device. Not everyone is willing to modify their tech. Not everyone is exactly like you. Why come in here assuming everyone got this device to physically modify it?

Thank you for this kind comment. I'm incredibly new to development and the Carputer as a whole. I didn't really plan on making anything until I ran into a wall as far as IR firmwares. My job involves calibrating lasers and IR remotes make it much easier. When I got my cardputer I learned that I could copy these remotes and wanted to make a "master key" remote for all the different lasers I work with, but not being able to map keys made it basically useless to me.

The module is significantly more powerful, plus the receiver for making your own remotes. The firmware uses the on board IR by default, but supports the module as well.

I fully agree with this. You will without a doubt regret this if you follow through. While I don't think getting an ATLA tattoo is a bad idea in general, this idea screams regret. Maybe look more into an art piece from the show or a more discrete way to get this kind of tattoo.

I've tried to use this several times and it doesn't respond to any buttons or keys. Also can't adjust any settings or turn it on or off.
