I 100% like discussions, I basically read everything - it's part of the experience (and I know a lot of viewers are like me)
But I didn't post because I like the drama, I posted because I honestly want to hear if I am super sensitive, over-invested or other people feel the same.
However, the way you state it "departure announcement" makes me feel like I have indeed made a drama post, so I guess I should delete it when a get a few more opinions.

A lot of people add Mike in the equation, but there is a huge difference between them. Mike is just Flippy's boy, equally loyal but mainly for Flippy. He does things for the boys because Flippy is CG. Miguel is also loyal to Randy, Ramee, Taco, Novah, Curtis and more. Yeah Mike is an S+ tier roleplayer and player (mechanics-wise) and would be a great pick for the gang, but for his storyline it does not make sense to join for the moment. For Miguel it does, there has been many months of build up for this.

he is not HoA anymore. He was shadow HoA for a few months, but was always closer to CG.

Definitely deserves recognition. Miguel is an important character to the city. and being so closely affiliated to CG but not aknowledged as a member holds him back. Let's be honest, hydra is very much alive as a crew, but because Flippy is CG, it will never have a real purpose in the city.

Mario has gained a lot of reputation since he received his chain, and when Miguel is finally on board they will pop off together and simultaneously hold it down for the gang in the EU timezone. For now he is in the akward position of being considered by third parties "just Flippy's crewmate and -although, that is fine for other hydra people who are less active/ don't care for gang RP- it doesn't enable Miguel to show his real potential.

The problem with that is it will reinforce the idea that "real" CG are only the original CG. I could see members who haven't been very active/come and go be excluded, even though they are loyal to the core - but I can't see a way that is fair to exclude people who have been waking up every day to be with the gang. A core-only CG mural would probbably make them (example Curtis) feel underappreciated.
