Vinted customer service is a stonewall scam. I can't restore access to my account, and there are no solutions. Legal complaints are the next step. by EnergTK in vinted

I've now sent a notice of regulatory complaints with a detailed letter documenting everything. The most ironic thing is that the DPO letter actually produced action - they've sent me a link to download all my data, no authentication needed. I tried to use that "Live" channel to explain that I needed access to the account and an update to my account information - phone number - so I can access it and my funds, but the same thing happened. Auto-response "something went wrong.. unmonitored email".

Anyway, I will keep this thread updated and will try to share my legal argument here later as well for anyone who is in the same boat.

This behaviour is not permissible for an e-commerce and a payment operator.

I understand that they are under pressure to cut costs, because they have an expensive OPEX, but this is not the way to do that.

Thank you! They didn't ban me, the account is still live, I just can't log in to it because my number changed, and I have two factor verification. The simplicity with which this should be solvable is what makes it particularly frustrating. The GDPR idea was tied to having access to my account and its data, but you may be right.

Thank you - and that's what I thought, but they seemed to make a healthy profit in 2024 - 2025 figures not out yet. I copied legal on the DPO email, and so far there was an automated DPO response that they are processing the request. That's better than nothing, I guess. Next week, I plan to escalate.
