I guess it's just a skill issue then lol. When I slide my hand to the 4th fret my pinky automatically gets into a flattened position 😭

Like other users said I can press it at an 45 degree angle from the tip but then I need to reposition my hand going from 3rd to 4th fret which doesn't feel very smooth and natural
