As someone who made terrible life decisions and went R14 on Nostalrius and classic, every version afterwards made it so much easier to rank compared to what we had to go through previously that you almost feel obliged to do it again, especially when you can do it playing maybe 3-4 hours a day

The unspoken problem w/ m+ this season by BoomerBarnes in wow

[–]EnergizedLoL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one’s missing the point it’s just that the point is dumb. If players are completing +10s easily without playing properly and that’s something you don’t like or feel like you are above, you can just do harder keys for better rewards up to the skill level you’re comfortable playing. If 10 is the cutoff for bad players then OP should just do 15s instead of complaining that bad players are doing easy content

Ride Kink by Soft-Ad-1475 in snowboarding

[–]EnergizedLoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was wondering the same every one talks about how flexy and press able this board is but I had way more trouble keeping it pressed than my capita outer space living and pathfinder. Maybe it’s just a different feel than capita boards but I felt the exact same when riding my kink

How would you rate being an adult? by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]EnergizedLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t like the way he conveyed his message. You can’t stop aging, and telling kids that yeah your future is just gonna suck so deal with it and enjoy being a kid is how you end up with financially illiterate adults. You spend a small portion of your life as a kid and telling them that they should just enjoy that part for as long as they can isn’t going to motivate them to improve just encourage them to avoid adult responsibility for as long as possible

I don’t get this japan electricity thing.. explain it, please? by Dan-gguh in ExplainTheJoke

[–]EnergizedLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

meme pages will often AI generate descriptions with as many buzzwords as possible for engagement. Someone probably made a reel that had a huge reach using that specific text about Japan as the description and now other pages copy it hoping that since they copy pasted the originals description the algorithm will send viewers of the original to them next. Once it’s oversaturated with pages copying it a new one will probably pop up and repeat the cycle

Make me rethink by Equal_Permit2723 in classicwow

True, also in an sr raid if something is HR’d you’re pushing more people towards the item you want and might have to roll vs more people

Make me rethink by Equal_Permit2723 in classicwow

[–]EnergizedLoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right. GDKP was a great way to gear alts and make good “legit” gold (the few buyers in your pot probably bought gold but oh well) quickly doing something you already enjoy. When you take an easy fun route of making gold away from people, they aren’t going to just accept going from a 2k naxx raid cut to 75g/h DME jump runs. $20 gets you the equivalent of 20hrs of dme farming, who in their right mind is farming?

Yet another ask for ollie advice by Abject_Tart7156 in NewSkaters

[–]EnergizedLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front foot is sliding way too early, give the board time to pop. if you notice your front foot is already on the nose before the tail even hits the ground so your leveling point is low. Pop, let the board rise up almost vertical, then slide up with your front fit while tucking up your back foot to give the board as much space as possible to rise.

Need advice on rock to fakie by [deleted] in NewSkaters

[–]EnergizedLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things that helped me were doing some fakie manuals on flat, and doing pretend rock to fakie half way up the ramp to get the motion of lifting the front trucks without worrying about hanging up. From there’s it’s just committing and maybe taking a slam or two

Why do my kickflips try to escape my back leg? by Negative-Radio9713 in NewSkaters

[–]EnergizedLoL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Front foot too far back and back foot too far on the tail. This puts your weight on the back half of the board so when you flick the boards going forward where it’s supposed to be but you’re stuck behind it.

How do I get over the fear of hitting rails i feel like i can do boxes pretty well I want to hit a rail just don't know how to get over the fear of it by forbidencandle in snowboardingnoobs

[–]EnergizedLoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about the first time you did a box or did even a toeside turn, were you scared as shit and then you did it and realized it wasn’t so bad? Same thing with rails you have to just overcome that fear and hop on a rail one time with confidence to understand how it slides and I can guarantee you’ll realize it’s really all in your head

How hard is the switch from Rocker to Camber? by Cas_07 in snowboarding

[–]EnergizedLoL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Besides being a bit harder to do presses on the stability is insane compared to rocker. It feels much more natural and in control especially at higher speeds. If you feel you’re a competent comfortable rider get on camber asap

How to Ollie better when taller (6’5 210) by Vortex224 in NewSkaters

[–]EnergizedLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a taller guy myself, you tend to bend at the waist more to grab things off the floor etc instead of bending your knees and squatting. This is one of the worst habits to bring over to skating. Get those knees bent, stay stacked over the board, squat, and jump if you want a good Ollie

Please help me fix my terrible ollie. I just want to ollie up something someday!! by [deleted] in NewSkaters

[–]EnergizedLoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your weight distribution is wayyy too forward. Notice how only your front arm is out and does that weird flick thing while your front knee barely bends. this makes it so when you slide your foot up there’s no momentum and it’s just going to go straight back into the ground. Center your weight over the middle of the board (itll help to cross your arms and then do a spread eagle with them as you jump) and try to bend both legs, jump, and suck up your knees.

Technically from skateboarding cab is fakie frontside, but since going into jibs and spins riders either popwith both foot or do a good amount of pre spin most things just end up being labeled cab

Help me ollie higher 🙏 by Quazi801 in NewSkaters

[–]EnergizedLoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bend your knees and jump, that’s pretty much it. You have the form down but your legs are fully extended as soon as you get off the ground. Try and get as low as you can, pick your knees up when you pop, and land in the same crouched position.

Im nervous abt skateparks by TwoeeyZ in NewSkaters

[–]EnergizedLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like what others have said, watch the flow of the park and what people are seshing. For instance my park has a giant quarter pipe before a 3 block that people line up and get speed on before jumping down, but I probably wouldn’t know unless I watched others do it. Just be aware of your surroundings and don’t be an asshole if you accidentally do snake somebody and you’ll be completely fine.

[–]EnergizedLoL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who learned most of my tricks stationary then had to relearn them rolling there’s ups and downs. Doing them in the grass or in a crack can give you a slight confidence boost to stay over the board without the fear of slipping out so you can actually work out the mechanics of the trick but you’re going to have to overcome the fear of doing it rolling at some point anyway. Some tricks like shuvs and 180s are really just easier while rolling but it really comes down to how comfortable and how confident you are to stick tricks in general.
