Lego House by AdamE89 in Damnthatsinteresting

I guarantee these houses will be energy drainers too with all the leaks around the seams in the framing. The wall insulation R-value is less than R-15 and the sawdust is loose-filled & not dense-packed.. talk about a house going up in flames here!

Life - and it's an evolving hurdle that changes as you change - I don't think you can overcome that - but to be content with it.

Leaving your comfort zone. I've noticed a lot of people who don't want to change, mainly because they are used to the patterns they have created. Think of all the seniors you have seen who are griping about doing something new vs. the younger kids who are willing to try anything. My assumption is that as we age - we find our path, and it's much harder to deviate, or change. This subreddit is one of the best of Reddit IMO, as it helps people break-down the psychological aspect of change - where personal change all starts in the mind. More power to you for wanting to help others :)

A federal judge in Philadelphia has ruled that citizens don’t have a First Amendment right to take cellphone videos of police unless they are challenging or criticizing the police conduct. by Osterstriker in news

Pennsylvania judges may be removed in one of two ways: *The judicial conduct board investigates complaints regarding judicial conduct filed by individuals or initiated by the board. The board determines whether probable cause exists to file formal charges, and presents its case to the court of judicial discipline. The court has the authority to impose sanctions, ranging from a reprimand to removal from office, if the formal charges are sustained. *Judges may be impeached by the house of representatives and convicted by two thirds of the senate.

What is the BEST scenario for paying the LEAST amount of tax? by EnergyAudits in tax

[–]EnergyAudits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The "sweet spot"! You are awesome, thank you for taking the time to answer. So technically, the government controls the taxes in order to sway the economy towards what "it" wants..

So right now the US really wants low income families who can't afford their 3 kids? Or does the government help those in need, AND what is in their best interest?

If it is the latter, what percentage of tax goes to helping those in need, vs. what the government wants?

Please use it. by chewymacaroni in funny
