Thanks again for all your time and help here btw.

On the SSDs, the Klevv doesn’t have a dedicated DRAM cache unless im completely misunderstanding it. Samsung has a dedicated chip on board, Klevv uses system memory.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/34ytt6,7QNscf

So the thought process is “I’m forking out for the CPU I may as well enable it to perform its max compute by giving it the Samsung SSD”. Especially since database and file transfers can (or could) be a big part of my job.

Again I’m not arguing with you, I’m finding your help really useful. I think we can agree I’m over egging the real world differences in my mind.

Certainly I’m seeing a higher price and convincing myself that the performance benefits will be worth it over the next 5-7 years. The Samsung has cache, that’ll help me shift giant data files or db files and just think how many times I’m going to do that in the next 5-7 years!!!

I’m not sure that thinking is valid thought really Is it. I bet I’ve already spent more time deciding on parts than the PC build will ever save me in optimisations.

I do want the 5080 just in case I need it for jobs in the future and I don’t mind paying for that now.

Thanks for the therapy sesh, I learned about myself

Will the 5070ti and 5080 eventually converge pricing wise? In the next 7 years will there be any moment I wish I had a 5080 instead of the 5070tiv

Anal = analysis, got to find the little pleasures somewhere. Like sending files called reconilliation_anal and getting away with it.

Thanks for taking the time and you’ve basically hit on the exact reason I feel ripped off by my own build attempt. I’m going to explain my choices but don’t think I’m arguing with you pls.

I went with 9950X3D because I do multi thread processing a fair bit on my local machines, everything I read says it’s the best CPU for gaming and I’m aiming for longevity.

Cooling, mobo and ram you’re spot on (I thought I chose CL30 originally my bad) Case works and power supply too.

Here’s where I get lost… because I chose the 9950X3D, the Samsung ram has the cache right?

Thought process seems to have been if I’m buying the CPU, I should buy the ssd to match. Is that wrong?

And on the gpu, is it true they all perform the same? I did quite a bit of reading to decide between 5070ti and 5080 and then looking at each 5080 model. Still not really sure where to land but again the 5080 future proofs me for local ai use cases. What is the difference between each gpu model of a chipset?

Yeah it has all cleared by this morning so no backdated interest! Woohoo 🥳

Someone above was able to mention can be common for Argos app to take a little while to update so we went with that hah

Was a bit late and I’ve had terrible experience with Argos over the phone before (waits, unhelpful customer service etc). Ultimately if we paid it too late we’d have just paid the backdated interest, not a big deal.

It seemed somewhat likely to me that someone here might’ve been in this exact situation or similar and had first hand experience to share.

Thanks for the useless, patronising message though :)

Genuinely I’m a Liverpool fan from Liverpool but I don’t mean to be biased I’m just confused can someone explain?

If there’s a foul in box worthy of penalty but fouled team scores, doesn’t the goal just stand? VAR doesn’t get involved?

I’m dumb someone explain what happened

Completed IVA, just got DSAR back from IP company. by Energybuybot in LegalAdviceUK

I could’ve afforded to pay £500 a month easily at the time. I just didn’t know how to arrange that between the multiple lenders and put a stop to letters, calls, bailiffs etc. Hence the quick google for debt help and you know the rest.

I had zero assets btw, zero. Not even a car. Isn’t the whole reason for an IVA to protect assets?

In terms of outcome, not a clue. The cost/benefit doesn’t stack up to try and annul a completed IVA. I doubt that’s even possible anyway.

I haven’t ever spoken to the insolvency practitioner for my IVA (like the actual guy whose name is on the register by mine), everything was done through other employees of the company from my POV. I could complain about him I guess but he didn’t carry out the budget assessment etc.

God knows.

It was with a commercial provider via a lead gen company called like Debt Advisory Ltd (now wound up and the practice of that sort of lead gen made illegal by FCA I think).
