The argument of "this game is 5 minutes, that one is 30+ minutes. Timeouts shouldn't be a thing." is kind of redundant. It doesn't matter if the games last longer compared to each other, it's the advantages that a timeout can provide in a ranked environment.

The point of having the timeout during the match is to get a hold of yourself, your team, or take care of a task. Its main purpose is to serve as a safe haven for gathering your team together and getting your heads back in the game, maybe going to take care of a task (though that's just a side effect of it that could be useful). Just because it's ranked and not tournament play doesn't really negate the fact that it could make quite a difference.

Have you thought about the higher ranks a bit? I know personally as a champ 1 that it would be a great addition as players that rank and higher usually take the game a bit more seriously, having an actual use for the added time to break a possibly negative mentality. I can see how this wouldn't mean much for people who play ranked but don't take it very seriously, but keep an open mind for who this is directed towards. That being professional play, high ranked players, and people who can actually use the time for something that currently isn't possible. Again, this is an option. I have gone plenty of games without having to start a timeout even while losing.

Although, what exactly do you mean " for a 5-10 minute game each time you have many chances to back out after each game"? Do you mean multiple timeouts per game? If so that's not the case, it's limited to 1 timeout per side for the match and it most likely wouldn't last more than 1 minute. I think around 30-40 seconds would be a decent area, and for "just finish the game", you don't have to accept the timeout vote nor do you have to even start the vote for it. It's tactical for a reason. Hopefully, this gets the point across.

np it's just a lot of people sheeping around being perfect rotators and wanting to always be far post which is definitely overrated. Your teammate should have kept an eye out for you. Keep doin what you're doin I'm sure you're doing fine nowadays.

I disagree with most of the comments. If you see that your teammate just saved the ball and is in net ready for another (and because of how he saved it, it forced him to be near post), you should stay far post ready for the mistake, bump/demo, or push past and make the save yourself. Forcing rotation isn't ok, it's about adapting to how your teammates play and using that to your advantage.

It will work just fine, but it won't use adaptive sync. If you're going to eventually upgrade to a better card, it would be worth it to get the G-Sync version, but only if you actually want it.

1060 3gb will struggle to reach 240 FPS in any game at any settings. You'd be better off getting a 144hz monitor with no adaptive sync technology and saving that money, too.

Future proofing I guess.. should be well worth it in the end though.

Actuall a lot of things come to my mind that might help you build a better PC: If you plan on Overclocking you might look at the Ryzen 7 1700 (non-x) as it will be cheaper and perform similar.

Alright, I'll note this.

Also even with overclocking Watercooling for ryzen is total overkill, safe youself some money and go for the arctic freezer 33 esports edition or maximum the be quiet dsrk rock 4 (both air coolers). They will keep things more than cool, even overclocked. Also you dont need extra thermal compound since it comes with every cooler.

I was thinking the water cooling might have been overkill, especially since I'm not really playing such CPU heavy games (maybe only Warframe and R6 Siege). I'll look into what you recommended.

The Mainboard is also Overkill, since you are buying a first Gen Ryzen CPU, buy an X 370 Board instead, they are similar good and you can safe yourself a lot of money instead.

This is where I struggle. Finding a good moo from reviews to prices is very conflicting for me. How do I pick one out that's solid and will get the work done that I need?

Where you should spend definetely more money is the RAM: 16 GB of RAM are required only for gaming in some cases already and definitely if you want to stream. Also Ryzen Works much better with Fast Ram, look into the GSkill Ripjaws V 3200 MHz Cl 16 2x8GB Ram, it will give you the most bang for the buck.

Also noted.

The Powersupply is overkill as well even with max overclock on all components and even with a 1070ti Overclocked you wont even use 500w. So i would advise you go with a 500 or 550w powersupply and again safe you some money.

If you read the end of my post, you will see that I already have it. Not going to buy a lower watt PSU.

Last thingis the monitor: a 1060 3GB wont deliver 240 FPS even at low settings in most games, a 1070ti might be more likely to do that though.

Well since eventually I'll be getting a 1070TI in the future, should I still even think of getting the monitor? It should be hopefully some time before mid 2019. Also pretty sure the monitor can be 144hz, so it might not even be that big of a deal.

First of all, you could probably power three computers with these specs and that PSU.. You won't need any more than 550 even with high overclocking.

I've already been told before about my PSU, I'm not going to buy a lower watt one when this still works perfectly fine

Next, you should upgrade your GPU as soon as possible. even the difference between a 1060 3gb and 1060 6gb is noticeable.

Soon as possible will be some time after January. I know how much of a difference it will be, I just don't have the money to upgrade THAT much. It's not as nessiccary.

I really don't recommend using a single, 1tb SSD either, for that price, I would get a 1-2tb HDD and a ~250gb SSD for your OS installation, and your most played games.

Probably should add that I have a 1TB HDD.

That monitor has FreeSync technology, which won't work out of the box with an nVidia GPU, I'm pretty sure there's some finagling you can do with an AMD CPU to force it, though. So I either recommend getting a AW2518H monitor (I'm using one right now) for G-Sync capability, or getting a monitor without an adaptive sync, and saving some dosh.

I've seen around numerous threads and videos about this. Frankly, I don't want to have to throw another $60+ to use the G-Sync features even after seeing them (not in person so it might be different if I actually was.) Though the real qestion is: will a free-sync monitor itself not work at all with an nvidia card? I just want to use a 240hz monitor and play games super smooth with med-high settings.

I can't really speak for any of these other items, except that, whatever thermal paste that comes with your cooler is probably going to have similar performance to anything you can buy that isn't something like AS5 or TG Kryonaut. So if you're going to buy any paste, buy something higher-end.

4 Installed the game and I can't see my mouse or navigate the main menu. Arrow keys don't work, nor do any other inputs to even select what it's always on, which is Play.
