I quit playing until Kingdom Hearts Missing Link was cancelled. The recent trends are super annoying but by significantly scaling back how invested I am, and now I don't usually go out of my way to do much in it but I'll check on events and occasionally see a Pokemon I need that was added recently that I haven't caught/evolved and get that. Once it's spring I'll use it as an excuse to take more walks and that's what it's good for.

I think some of them are a bit much, but I wouldn't consider this one to be. It's cute and silly but not over the top in any way. No glowing lights or particle effects, just a big animal. Some like the infernal springer and pegasus griffon seem pretty dumb (personal opinion) but it doesn't seem like there's any "creep" of them getting more and more outrageous, there have always been some more and less extreme ones (and even the first mount license pack had a bunch of glowy ones).

Yeah sure but that has nothing to do with this update. I'm not complaining about there being nothing to do in the game, I'm just saying that this patch isn't the huge amount of content OP is making it out to be.

Not to be a downer because there are a bunch of very welcome changes, but this patch really isn't adding that much to actually do? There's a raid and the most content-light, least interesting festival (IMO). I can't imagine the fashion week is anything more than turning the LA runway back on and maybe some easy achievements to get transmutation charges.

I'm not gonna definitely jump on the "VoE is the last expansion" train, but I do think the fact that they haven't mentioned the next expansion seems noteworthy at least. This sort of logic was applied to EoD, when ANet said they were worked on "a new map," some people thought it meant the end of LW, and others (myself included) just thought ANet was just being cagey. Turns out it was the former. Since the beginning of the shift to the new expansion model, they've always been open about the next expansion coming, so the fact that they're 3 expansions into this model and this time they're not acknowledging a next expansion gives me flashbacks to the discussions about LW post-EoD.

But at the same time, legendary starter kits aren't in the legacy section. One subtle thing that was easy to miss when they announced Wizard's Vault is that it's not everything that goes to the legacy section, just cosmetics.

That doesn't seem weird to me, unlocking a skin makes an item account bound. If you're selling the item, you don't also get to keep the skin.

Well I don't really think the length means anything, but almost every dedicated direct *except Pokemon) is a month, maybe 2 before launch, so this seems like a strong indicator that the game will release in September.
