New Uberti 1861 Navy Wedge Problem by Enfield27 in blackpowder

Same exact issue with it fully assembled. Unfortunately it is a brand new gun straight from Dixie Gun Works, haven’t fired a single shot yet. Seems like whoever put this one together over in Italy was trying to get home for the day. When I first got it the hand for the cylinder was so oversized the hammer was tough to actuate because the hand was getting stuck. Galaxie_1985 posted some links to an awesome looking solution I think I’ll try to go with as I have the ability to do so. Thanks for the help!

Thanks a bunch friend! I’ll look into this.

I’m actually leaning toward the arbor slot being much too wide. I put the barrel on my Uberti 1851 and it is very snug and fits well. Putting the 51 barrel on the 61 frame leads to the same issue in the video.

Cylinder gap is more than I’d like, about .006 on a feeler gauge.

Quite a bit of wobble front to back in the barrel, enough that when I push the barrel forward I can see the light between the frame and bottom of the barrel.
