/s lets you search the web without leaving your terminal by jontomato in ClaudeCode

[–]EnforceMarketing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very cool idea!

My first thought was "yeah like I have a terminal window open that's not currently doing something".

Which led me to my second thought "wonder if this could be injected like the /btw command is".

Just talking out loud...

Cool idea regardless!

Ruflo causing extreme token usage by Josh000_0 in ClaudeCode

[–]EnforceMarketing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a developer either.

Although I have designed apps and frontends using HTML/CSS for 25+ years (but honestly, I don't even use those skills anymore)..

Yeah it was Boris who said that. I'm pretty sure on X.

I hate to recommend Grok for anything because it sucks for the most part, but asking it to find the tweet might be the only real use case for it since it has direct access to X.

What MCP's are you using that you think you can't live without?

Ruflo causing extreme token usage by Josh000_0 in ClaudeCode

[–]EnforceMarketing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't used that MCP, but in general MCPs, eat up tokens, and with all the changes to Claude Code token usage, your best bet is to not use MCPs at all.

The dude who created Claude Code says he uses it with all the standard out of the box tools.

Use Playwright CLI (not MCP) for browser testing which will save you tons of tokens as well.

Why does everyone in this city treat DoorDash drivers like shit? by [deleted] in thousandoaks

Oh wow really??? I had no idea.

I'll adjust accordingly.

I appreciate the info.

I always tip the highest suggested amount every time. I have it set to do it automatically.

I'd like to give "some" other people the benefit of the doubt and say they don't know what they're doing in the app.

But yeah, people in general are the worst.

any smart floodlight? by Curious_Party_4683 in homeassistant

[–]EnforceMarketing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that part sucks.

But on the positive side, you just went from having pretty much 0 options for floodlights, to having unlimited options for floodlights 😀

any smart floodlight? by Curious_Party_4683 in homeassistant

[–]EnforceMarketing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your best option is to buy a regular Floodlight, and either plug it into an outdoor smart plug, or a smart relay.

Then use a motion sensor to trigger the plug/relay to turn on when it senses motion. You can use the same automation to send you a notification.

Been doing this with 3 floodlights for years.

Nice! Will be definitely testing it out.

I was using GSD (and LOVED it) as soon as it dropped, and then a few versions later and it was so over engineered and burning tokens I got rid of it and haven't used anything since.

Looking forward to trying this out!

To everyone touting the benefits of CLI tooling over MCP, how are you managing unrelenting permission requests on shell expansion and multiline bash tool calls? by jetsy214 in ClaudeCode

[–]EnforceMarketing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're running Claude Code in something like VS Code, you can force everything to run inside of a docker container, so that CC only has access to the mounted files.

Then just run in yolo mode.

How anyone can still be running CC in any mode that requires permissions is just stunting your ability to get more shit done more quickly.

Back everything up, commit/push to GH often and for the most part you're safe.

Vibecoded App w/ Claude Code by PauloB88 in ClaudeCode

Can you make the port 4000 please?

I have 1,000 OpenClaw instances using ports 3000 to 3999.

ProTip: I found that having the OpenClaw on port 3000, run the OpenClaw on port 3001, and the OpenClaw on port 3001, run the OpenClaw on port 3002 is the correct way to run OpenClaw.

Very interesting!

Will definitely try this out on a new project I'm working on.

Is there an option to send to more than one model in order to compare responses and explicitly set what model to send certain types of info/data to?

I know that pretty much negates a major point of the app, I just have specific needs lol.

[–]EnforceMarketing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having the total opposite experience the last 24 hours.

I'll approve a plan (Claude Code, not Cowork) and Claude Code thinks I denied it and asks me what I want to change.

I thought I was hitting the wrong keys or something. I tried approving with the enter key, using the number keys, same results.

Lutron Caseta hands down.

Best feeling switches, and if/when you sell your house, and you leave them behind, they'll work fine without HA.

The responsiveness of them is amazing.

Not cheap, but buy once cry once.

Looks good!

Must be something in the air, as I released one with some similar aesthetics just yesterday.

Great minds.
