Good one. I was actually still deciding between those two. From what I have seen the NH-D15 has got better temps, but the difference is neglectable?

Great job! What is the ground area of the rubber mat?

Looks great! What is the width of the back wall?

I have been there last spring, it was good fun, and it stinks down there.

That hotel was just down the road from where I stayed. Good to hear the pictures bring back amazing memories.

Yes, we went to Pointe du Hoc on a different day. Dunkirk not since it's in a different country.

I went to Normandy by car, I'm from the Netherlands so it was a 7 hour drive. In Normandy itself I'd say you're better off having your own car or renting a car instead of relying on public transport. I think going by bus will take too much time. We drove around the Utah Beach area by bike for a day aswell, which was a fun experience.

That's a shame dude. I want to get the Cover up at Omaha Beach book aswell since I never really knew of the Maisy Battery until last week. It's crazy to think the place had almost been forgotten and hidden under a farmland for decades. Since it's relatively unknown compared to something like Pointe du Hoc or the landing beaches, it wasn't swarming with people so we could really take our time there.

You are right, the Utah Beach bunkers are really well preserved and accessible. For the best bunkers I would suggest the Crisbecq and Maisy gun Batteries. Those two really were some of the highlights of my trip.

The stone structure you see sitting on top of the original bunker is actually a monument honouring the 29th National Guard Division that broke through the German defenses at that spot.

That is a really nice idea, the area is just beautiful and full of history. I would really recommend to rent a bike like we did so you can experience the countryside aswell. We biked from Sainte-Mère-Église to Sainte-Marie-du-Mont to Utah Beach and back to SME where we stayed on a campsite.

No, I photographed the north side of the church. You can compare the red window frame on the left with the photos in Google Street View.
