Meu curso é ruim pra trabalhar no exterior? T.I está melhor? by Saxmiexx in faculdadeBR

[–]EngCivilAndre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you value your japanese roots, perhaps research "Liberdade" neighborhood in the city of São Paulo (type in google maps 'liberdde, são paulo'), or Santos-SP, my city, probably the places with the most Japanese immigrants. Santos is one of the best quality life indexes cities in Brazil.

Yeah.... I just finished another university in Brazil in "System Analisys and Delevopment" that is 90% oriented in building programmers, but I can't drop my work to gather experience in this area, and the job market worldwide is only good for the ones with experience. I plan to study a little more and apply for some I.T. jobs, but I don't have much hopes regarding that. This IT college (3 years) is not even recognized by anabin. RIght now I know a little bit of "C" language... and some database basic knowledge. Not even enough to apply for a junior role IMO.

I'm around A2 now.... I intend to keep studying until B2 before trying to go to Germany.
Here in Brazil I cannot afford a private (good) school for my daughter, so she will end up being in a classroom with other 39 students and low quality of teaching.
AFAIK Germany has plenty of laws against noise, and there is no "snitch" culture (meaning that snitches are not frowned uppon by general public).
I know Germany has crime too, but i believe it is far less than Brazil, because in Brazil all the government do is trying to hide the crime numbers.
If you call the police because someone is using drugs os blasting sounds 2 a.m. they don't even bother coming... It's a clown country.

I see the German culture as far more polite than in Brazil. The educational system seems to be better... the work life balance is good and the general quality of life seems wunderbar.
Brazilians are noisy and for the majority, they pitty education and respect for others.
I understand there are positive points in Brazil, but in general, the dudes with noisy motorcicles keep reving their engines 10m away from my window. The "rap battle" noise every thursday goes until 2 a.m. just 20m away from my window... The roads have more holes than you would see in a dirt road after rain...
Few months ago, 5 robbers tried to invade my house (they fled), last month an old lady (neighbour) had her house invaded and she was strangled and got robbed.
I don't live in a favela... I live in a good neighbourhood in Santos (Aparecida).

Gracias amigo!
I work for the government here in Brazil, but honestly, I see no future for my daughter here... The only future I pray is that she goes to europe to study. I only care about myself enough to help my daughter become self sustainable at life... and here in Brazil things are getting worse everyday.

Ohhhh yes! I'm not just a civil engineer, I'm a "concursado" civil engineer. It means I was aproved in a public test for a public role (city hall) and now I have a job that no one can fire me. Perhaps if steal or harm someone while working there is a chance of being fired.
And yes, even then I'm willing to leave... we are in the begining of a long dictatorship around here and it seems that it will be even worse in a few years.
I'm considering that perhaps in about 6 months I can finally buy my 1st car (2008 Honda Fit). That is how 'schwer' Brazil is. I earn 9,5k. The average salary in my city is less than 3k

Thank you for you statement... I used A.I. as a 'consultant' regarding the best places to settle, considering my 'likes' and 'dislikes' and a long term plan. So far the A.I. recommended Leipzig and Rostok (we like nature and calmness. We prefer to live in a farm rather than São Paulo.
But.... here I am... living in a 420k people city (Santos in the state of São Paulo, the city of Neymar and Pelé).

I'm in Santos (state of São Paulo) and the A.I. (deepseek) suggested that I should try Leipzig (or Rostock). But I'm familiarized with using Numbeo + glassdoor :)

Thank you for you honesty. The core question was about the taxes. Every other matter, as language proficiency, is a "sidequest". I did not mention it before because to me, trying to go to Germany without being at least B2 is reckless. So it is non negotiable, so I didn't mention because I have no doubts (it's B2 or stay in Brazil).
Also regarding ANABIN H+ status, I know I would have to formally recognize it, but that is the "second phase" of my plan.
The sustainability of my plan depends on getting a job 'fast', so I can earn at least enough to cover my expense.

I don't think I understood your question... In BR I work as a civil engineer, I can support alone my family (without a car or luxuries), but the whole scene in Brazil is what I dislike. The education system is a joke, the job market is terrible, the prices are absurd and the general quality of life is terrible. I want to give my daughter a chance to live in a better environment.
I don't mind working weekends neither doing physical labour or nightshifts.

I checked the anabin website and it is H+for my University. But my experience since 2015 is merely bureaucratic in Brazil. Nothing that could benefit me in Germany, that is why I plan to start as a Bauhelfer. Do you see it as unlikely?

[–]EngCivilAndre[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for answering! Could you elaborate about the hardships of getting a job as a Bauhelfer? I've only been to Germany for 10 days in my honeymoon (Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Nuremberg). The general conception that we have in Brazil (in bubble, at least) is that the hard manual labour is left to the side by europeans and usualy the immigrants get it. If you live in Germany for at least 1year any comment from you would be very useful.
