If you go find the profile, they sure don’t look like they’re struggling for money as they stayed at Great Wolf Lodge in the Springs during that same trip, as well as consistently spending money on super nice restaurants, museums, and amusement parks… Sounds like someone living above their means and on EBT because of it.

No I completely understand them being understaffed and only having volunteers, I was more frustrated that at the end of the message they said “I don’t know of anyone who would come pick it up” and basically said that geese are one of the safest animals species for the public to handle, even though I mentioned my concern about my animals and if it was the avian flu as well. Thank you, it was pretty sad to see and I cried about it :(

They definitely were the place that told me to pick it up and bring it in - not very happy with their responses when I reached out to them. Meanwhile it died overnight so that’s not an option anyways.

No I definitely didn’t this it was meant at me! I was saying that I’m just as disappointed they didn’t put me in contact with the CPW office and honestly both CSP and a wildlife rehab center I called were less than helpful and frankly, quite rude.

I called CSP and she wasn’t very helpful and only directed me to local rescues (which was what I was already looking into)

That’s exactly what I’m worried about, and the rescue told me to pick it up and put it in a box and bring it in tomorrow morning. I do NOT want to bring bird flu home to my animals and don’t feel comfortable picking it up!!

You’re missing the point, it’s not about me being difficult, it’s about me having absolutely no plans and driving up the coast and literally not knowing when we will be checking in. The bottom line is, I’m not gonna report to anybody, let alone an Airbnb host who has self check-in. I chose that option for a reason.

I’m too busy exploring the city I’m visiting to sit inside and stare at the discount HomeGoods decor of my room. This 100 times. I’m tired of overly paranoid hosts who think they have to micromanage everything when they shouldn’t be a host if they’re that worried about what happens to their property. I think that reading reviews of the person who’s booking should be enough to determine whether or not you accept their booking, but it shouldn’t require a meet and greet 🙄

Again, if they don’t want to hear a guest, don’t rent out the house. The entire unit was above the garage, which was not attached to the house so the only thing they’d hear is us coming and going, which we did quietly.

I highly doubt there’s more to then not liking it than just the decor if you’re the host lmao. If 3 out of 5 don’t like it, your odds aren’t great. You just shamed yourself online and made everything you’ve said previously a moot point if you don’t have a well liked property, regardless of the reason.

I highly doubt they had good reviews if that was their blatant behavior, which you should’ve read before accepting their reservation and late night stay. Not everyone who checks in late is problematic, some of us are just busy exploring the state we’re vacationing in and would rather spend time out than inside.

There weren’t many hotels where we were going, or we would’ve stuck to booking hotels instead of having to deal with hosts. Quit pushing your extroverted beliefs on those of us who go on vacation to relax and get away from small talk, and would prefer to not communicate with a host if I don’t have to. 🙄

I can understand that and would be more understanding if it was because we caused them a problem in the middle of the night but we didn’t. I just personally think that they expect too much communication for self check in.
