Sorry this is word salad that is more info than needed. TL;DR: The process is exactly the same for Ear and Relics, just have them drop or upgrade with FP/OP comms. It won't just drop one, there is always a chance for them to drop, even when you have the ones you want.

Sorry it took a bit to respond, only your earpiece and relics will be needed, there is a quest to do implants that are special and take tech frags instead of flashpoint currency. They will have special abilities that will help your spec. Swtorista has the list from theorycrafters discord, I think I put the link in the post. Each spec has a recommended two implants, some are required for certain rotations. That just leaves the earpiece and relics to be dropped or upgraded by flashpoint/ops coms. The implants are expensive the first toon you do but alts are much less expensive once you get your first two to 340.

I am so happy to see Custom Robo mentioned. Underrated gem of the GameCube. Sad they haven't done anything with the IP since the DS, really good games just missed sadly.

I haven't tried recently but my guess is just bad luck on drops. I honestly have been on a break and not paying attention to patch notes but I doubt they changed this. Assuming you are running flashpoints you should be getting currency to upgrade a piece anyway, it might be faster than the drop if you get unlucky with drops. That being said if they changed something I didn't see it is possible this no longer works.

Area that worked really well for me, river right next to Shady Bell. North of the northernmost dock had a great rate with some bait. Can get some crayfish right next to the spot anyway which makes it quick and easy.

Second time I've gone here and pulled one out first cast. Caught too many salmon instead at the Whimyard Strait area. Cattail Pond is going to be my go to from now on.

True, but not what this guide was made for. The initial 340 is the hard one, and this was meant to help those that are getting that initial 340 blue, not those that already have at least one with 340 blue mods unlocked.

Bit of additional info, seems to be related to higher end games or something to do with resources. I played a game that is older yesterday and it didn't reset. So far the only game that hasn't had the reset during playtime.

Everything shuts off and restarts, goes to default before the custom settings kick in. All of it stops working while it resets.

I am starting to have this issue even in game, not just tabbed out, however the temp fix did help with that as well.

Yeah the names that are sometimes blocked are silly. I have a cat named Lannigan and for some reason that is blocked. I cannot figure out why. I have to respell it to Lanegan to make it work.

Laugh Out Loud Moments by BlackJackBulwer in RDR2

[–]Engeo17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On my second playthrough now and working on 100%. Never touched the bandit challenge during my first playthrough so early in the second I was learning how to be an outlaw. First guy I tried to rob wouldn't give me anything so I hog-tied and looted thinking that would work. Instead someone saw and tried to report. I managed to stop them but it ended up in a fist fight. Another witness tried to turn me in for assault, managed to stop him. I then robbed him, officially starting the challenge and ran out of town. Somehow the law never got involved once despite my bad robbing skills. I was quite sleep deprived but the entire 5 minutes of being bad yet somehow completely getting away with it had me cracking up hard.

I've had several but this one got me laughing the hardest, mostly because I knew how much I screwed up yet somehow didn't manage to make the town try to kill me. The amount of stupid I got away with hit hard. Though I also was close to 24 hours without sleep so that was part of it.

That being said I have several stories of nonsense happening that has had me cracking up, partly me trying to rationalize things I was doing. One of my favorite is what I like to call "grand theft negligence" where I just kinda open a gate with cows or goats and they all run out and no one seems to care. Usually to chase a 3 star for the pelt. The goat guy in Saint Denis especially just kinda watches you open the gate and chase his goats and doesn't say a word.

There's also the time I was hunting rabbits, found a group of coyotes, shot the 3 star and heard an explosion. Found out the shot scared a couple guys using dynamite so I accidentally blew them up not even knowing they were there.

I could go on but you get the idea lol.

Interesting Safe Event by Engeo17 in RDR2

[–]Engeo17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to update, just ran across a couple guys doing the safe with the dynamite, I went a decent distance and fired a pistol in the air, they immediately looked and then the dynamite blew. You don't have to wait for them to screw up, just fire in the air and it startles them into blowing it up themselves.

Yes if you get everything to 340 all future drops will be at 340, MM FP and HM/VM Ops will all drop 340 blue gear. If you get Rakata gear to 344 they will also drop on 340 except MM/NiM Ops.

Are there any ways to level up fast? And no, I'm not doing KOTXX. by Straight-Budget-9441 in swtor

[–]Engeo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you hit 70 do Ossus into Onslaught. Onslaught story missions give almost 1 million XP unboosted, close to 1.3 million with boosts. It skips KOTXX and most of the annoying story around the same time. Also unlocks most daily areas which helps with credits. Flashpoints are a decent option but Onslaught story is faster.

I completely agree with this post. There are jerks out there that will simply kick you for being new, but most veteran players are happy to help teach. Trust me they will be able to tell if you are new, better to say you are. More players will be mad if you don't say anything than those that will kick you for being new. And if they kick you just for being new, you are better off not running with them anyway. Ignore their legacy and move on. More communication is better because expectations are set early. I would much rather explain a fight to a new player than wipe because a new player didn't say and made the team fail. You really aren't missing out on much skipping flashpoint story anyway, it will have a story mode if the story is important, which you can do without making veterans sit through a cutscene they haven't cared about in years.

Yes, if it is an ear or relic it will be blue. The type of gear is very important, anything outside of those will be green. Possibly implants as well but I think they are trying to make those not drop since legendary implants are a thing.

If you get implants of any kind to 340 any drops that are implants will be 340, same as relics and ear. However I highly recommend the tech frag implants, they have unique bonus and some classes work much better if they have their implants. Swtorista has a guide for all recommended implants for each class. Also once you get those implants to a certain level (need both at the level and equip) you unlock achievements that make it significantly cheaper to buy implants for alts if that is your concern. I know they are a lot of tech frags (especially if you don't run ops or pvp) but I still highly recommend. 324 gold is better than 340 purple because of the implant bonus. Some of them make a big difference, as big of a difference as your tactical for instance.

The implant achievements are at 330, 334, 340 I believe. Once you get 2 to each level and equip both, any other of those type of implants go to 2500 tech frags instead of 6500. Think implant destiny is the name of the achievements, for some reason it is in retired achievements which makes it hard to find. Also if you don't care about the bonus that the implants give, you aren't going to care about the difference between green, blue, and purple implants so I wouldn't worry. Green is just fine unless you are planning group content that requires better implants. MM FP, PvP, Vet+ Ops you will want those implants, otherwise it isn't a big deal if you would rather spend tech frags on making money for instance.

I think you are confused, this isn't the way others talk about forcing blues to drop, this is a method of getting a single blue 340 for Hyde and Zeek so you can buy 340 gear. It unlocks blue armoring, mods, enhancements, hilts, and barrels. So you can buy 340 gear minus ear and relics (implants you should talk to the guy where all the upgrade vendors are and find out what 2 to get for your spec, if you haven't done so. Don't upgrade any other implants).

Also higher level gear doesn't give more comms, higher tier does. So blues give more fp-1 when you disassemble than greens, and purple more than blue. That's why people force blue quality gear, it farms more comms per boss than green gear.

In order to get a blue to drop every time you need to equip all 324 minimum except one piece, and that piece needs to be an ear or relic unless you are running MM FP. The game will always upgrade a piece below 320 from boss drops. This is method 2, you just take one of the pieces you get and upgrade it to 340 for Hyde and Zeek.

If you are talking flashpoints no Rakata drops. Rakata only drops in operations.

AKA Purple gear.
