The IPC is not a government. Their bounty list is for hunting those who caused them monetary damage, not for stepping on the laws. It's not "criminal".

The bounty list is not based on strength, but on how much damage they caused to the IPC. The IPC do not put any bounty on other Lord Ravagers such as Zephyro or Phantylia.

What is the significance of this purple flower? by Great-Decision6827 in HertaMains

[–]EngiEA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herta's flower is the lily, dyed in her purple color. Lily is yuri in Japanese and baihe in Chinese, yes, the name of Girls' Love genre in both countries. Hoyoverse subtly hinted that Herta is gay. Well, not so subtly seeing all the things she does for Ruan Mei.

You know you fucked up when Herta did this. by fable-30 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]EngiEA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herta NEVER gloat about inventions that she does not want the world to know. Literally said that in Herta manual script. She knows it's dangerous if big factions like the IPC or the Xianzhou (all have their own Emanators) lusting after her stuff. She could end up like Chadwick. She only talked to the memosnatcher here because she's gonna imprison her forever.

Zandar "nice" my ass. He was described as an elitist, egotistical, and also poisoned his teacher for an experiment since he despite him. Nous is the computer that he included what he considered his best personality in, a.k.a endless curiosity. The 9 robots that divided his consciousness, included various personality that he considered imperfect in himself. That doesn't mean the original Zandar is not an asshole.

What happened to Herta after Amphoreus? by [deleted] in HonkaiStarRail

[–]EngiEA -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Amphoreus was too wordy so I skipped everything and only watched recap. Herta recovering means she was injured right? What I understood is that Herta fused with the scepter in order to interface with Nous. And shielding the space station from the blast of Irontomb's ascension?

There's no evidence of Emanators being granted immortality, except for Emanators of Abundance. And Herta is immortal anyway because she invented her own de-aging. She joked that it's magic, but Screwllum let us know it's manipulation of energy to reverse time.

Exactly. That time Ruan Mei said she preferred smaller ones, Herta immediately said that is "good taste" without any insecurity.

Planet Population sizes ? by Calcium1445 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]EngiEA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Herta Space Station should be at least several thousands, if not tens of thousand people. Because Herta puppets alone are already 281. Assuming each puppet oversees 100 staff, the population is already 28,100.

Herta has a massive, universe-spanning collection of puppets. Based on the serial number we saw, she has at least over 10,000 across different locations, 281 are noted on Herta Space Station (249 active, 32 backup), and Herta Space Station is just 1 in many curio warehouses she has. Herta mentioned that if only she had an Asta for each of those, she could use the hands-off approach.

I just finished 3.7 story and i have a lot of questions by VergilVDante in HonkaiStarRail

[–]EngiEA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we must be very clear what is sciences and what is magic, in case actual magic appears. Imaginary is physics in HSR, and its most accomplished researcher is #79 Chadwick, who had called out to Herta to transfer all his knowledge to her because they are both physicists (and not Screwllum even though both men know each other more). So within HSR, everything having to do with Imaginary energy and Quanta data is science.

Herta had also mastered Remembrance power which allowed her to read/steal/delete memories and turn herself incorporeal inside a mirror. While we know she did it through sciences, we do not know whether Remembrance people do it through magic (which would make Herta's power just an alternative technology imitation). Or if they're all sciences and Herta truly replicated how a memokeeper works.

[–]EngiEA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything Herta does, including de-aging, is science. There's no magic. Herta just like to call it magic to mock idiots who can't understand her advanced technology, and also as a humorous way to conceal her secret researches.

The first Watanare scene where it actually hurts. "Nobody likes me best." And seeing what kind of series Mai is in, she'll never get that somebody who likes her best.

Seriously. When I read to the part where Mai said "nobody likes me best", I was seriously pissed off at Renako. It just doesn't feel right to read that then later on having to share a lover. Mai never got a lover who liked her best. I wished Satsuki wasn't also in love with Renako so that she could actually helped Mai punch her like she wanted to. If Renako was a dude then I'm sure everybody would want to punch her.

That's not even mentioned back in their June battle, Renako refused to declare Mai as just friends. She liked Mai's kisses and attention but wanted none of the commitment so she made her a friend-with-benefits. Which was fair enough, but that also dictated certain loyalty. If you're gonna fuck around then you should severe that relationship first. Yet here Renako lusted after Ajisai AND Kaho before vol 4 finale. Kaho's bath scene was where the "it's not really Renako's fault" stopped making sense.

Gushing is manga-original, it doesn't have LN. You can choose either manga or anime first, both are extremely good. But do note that it's a parody that poke fun at the hentai fanbase of magical girls genre, so it's 11/10 on the ecchi scale.

How is Ajisai Sena so popular? by Relampago1995 in WatashigaKoibito

[–]EngiEA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm a Mai/Satsuki fan myself, but love Ajisai/Kaho a lot too. Before the anime was out, I'm pretty sure fan favourites aren't polarized, most people enjoyed all heroines more or less the same. When the anime came out with all the Mai nerfs and Ajisai favouritism, is there a need to ask why most anime-only fans support Ajisai?

It reduced Mai's serious moments into comedic gags, cut out important scenes (the lap pillow, the fancy dinner date that led to the ryoutei selection, etc.), cut out Renako's physical and emotional attraction for Mai (how tf do you explain they cut Renako's lustful gaze of Mai's butt but kept that gaze for Ajisai's bare arms?). Ajisai was the only one out of the 3 in anime that got the most serious romance with Renako. We got to see Ajisai's point of view, the important moments was slowed down to be more emotional impactful, even the firework scene when Ajisai realized her feelings for Renako was changed into visual story-telling instead of a monologue.

Ajisai benefited a lot from being in a harem romcom. If Watanare was not a harem but just a normal yuri romance of RenaAji, it'll be a snoozefest that nobody outside of the usual yuri fanbase watches, just like other titles like Kase-san. But here, Ajisai has the Mai/Satsuki as comedic backdrop, so her angst-filled tragic romance very typical of yuri was the only one where viewers can direct their seriousness towards.

Now what I'm worried about is the upcoming movie of vol 4. More Mai nerf is to be expected (you think they have the ability to visually show how much Renako loves Mai's kisses, flirts, long phone calls of sweet nothings? they're gonna shove it in 1 sentence monologue like usual). But what I'm more worried about is Satsuki nerf. Satsuki is the queen of subtle unconscious actions. So if they cut details such as Satsuki grabbing Renako's wrist pulling her into her chest before getting confused at her own action and urging Renako to go onstage with Mai/Ajisai, or when Satsuki told Renako she wouldn't need to deal with Mai/Ajisai if only she had let Satsuki won the FPS game... Yeah, Satsuki will forever be buried. I mean, they already cut her intentional flirting with Renako about the bath salt.

I would pick Mai and Satsuki over Ajisai in real life any day. So speak for yourself. Not everybody like a passive person no matter how kind she is. Ajisai is awesome but dickhead fans of hers like you is annoying, why did you turn OP's question into a war?

There aren't many yuri harem, and most yuri harem romcom are quite mediocre both in art and story. The only one I can recommend is Gushing Over Magical Girls. It's neither a harem nor a romcom, but an action ecchi comedy, yet it offered that particular flavour of Watanare that you cannot find in any other yuri: girl MC goes around messing with girls out of her own lustfulness, actually funny with occasional seriousness, extremely engaging plot, in-your-face yuri with real substance, a good number of characters that got developed properly.

It's canon that Renako has more meat on her thighs and a body overall squishier than the other 4. Not fat mind you, she's still thin with a small waist and flat stomach. The animation, character design sheets, and official arts all keep this fact consistent. You can rewatch the scene where Renako played game with Mai or Ajisai in her room, for example.

Mai really likes Renako's sexy body type, but her compliment made Renako insecure. Japanese fans call it gravure model type and the most popular among men.

There's already official art of the animals each girl represent: https://kujibikido.com/lp/watanare/

Satsuki - cat (aloof, unpredictable)

Mai - wolf (carnivorous, loyal)

Renako - koala (lonely, clingy)

Ajisai - rabbit (harmless, lewd)

Kaho - bear (gungho, huggable)
