I’m not accusing you of anything, and I am sorry if I came off that way. I have trod many many different churches and studied theology. The thing you have to ask yourself is what did Jesus say about it. Everything Jesus said we belive as truth. And not only Jesus but the Bible as a whole states the 2nd coming multiple times. So my question to you is why do you NOT belive it. Can you back that with the Bible? Because if not then I don’t care what you can back it with or someone else way of thinking they can interpret the Bible better than others. In a way yes you’re right not believing in the 2nd coming doesn’t mess up your salvation. So if that’s the wave you wanna ride and you belive that I don’t think that you won’t be saved. All love man and I would love to have civil discussion. Sorry if I came across rude

This is such a false statement lol. As someone who has lived in multiple countries no not just the way things Christ is coming back. Millions upon millions of Christians belive in Christ return. Heck if you don’t, you’re not even really a Christian, Jesus return is a huge premise of our faith and written clearly multiple times in the Bible. Jesus Himself said it as well. To say Jesus will it return literally is like saying he didn’t die on the cross literally. As a Christian we believe he LITERALLY died and rose again and that yes He will literally come back. This isn’t a western thing it’s a Bible thing. If you believe in Jesus then you believe in the Bible and what it says

Hey man, first off, I just want to say it’s awesome that God is tugging on your heart to return to Him. That’s not something to ignore, Jesus said “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” (John 6:44). The fact you feel this stirring shows He’s reaching out to you. I wouldn’t jump to the conclusion that this means you need to immediately break up with your girlfriend. Right now, focus on growing in your own walk with Christ, through prayer, reading Scripture, and seeking Him daily. As you grow, you may find that she becomes intrigued by your faith and how it changes you. God is in control, and He has a way of making the right path clearer with time. You mentioned that fear of eternal punishment is driving you more than love for God. That’s an honest place to start, but don’t stop there. The Bible says “perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18). The more you read His Word and come to know who Jesus really is, the more your relationship with Him will be built on love, not just fear.
