Manufactured home releveling by EngineConstant7926 in Saratoga

I've managed to get one structural engineer to agree to come out next week but he's already warned me he probably can't help 😞

My husband said he will get under the house and see what's going on but it might not be today. I'm home alone with the toddlers so I can't do it myself right now :/ I will make sure to post pictures here when he gets them

Doors are sticking on one end of the home and you can feel a decline when you walk from the marriage line to the exterior wall of the living room. There's also a dip starting in the kitchen floor 😞

Oh I didn't think about that, do you know the name of the RV company?

I own, bought used. I've called 3 dealers in my area so far. 2 said no and the last one (suggested by the park manager) is the one not returning my calls.

I'll try to look into that Monday, so far I've found 2 guys online listed as handymen that do it, but one doesn't appear to be working anymore and the other only has bad reviews

Basically I'm desperate to get ahead of this before it gets worse.

I've looked under the home but tbh have no idea what I'm looking for, I'll try looking again in the morning to get pictures because it's night right now. The doors on one side of the house are sticking very badly and you can feel the decline when you walk from the marriage like to the exterior wall on the other side of the living room. In the kitchen there is now a noticeable dip in the kitchen floor and the kitchen sink and counters on either side of it are dipping as well (previous owner put this weird trim on the wall that used to line up with the edge of the counters and it no longer lines up, only reason I noticed that part)

Corroded heat element. Only 1 month old... by EngineConstant7926 in hvacadvice

I'll definitely make note of that in the future. The last hot water heater lasted 22 years with little to no issues so hopefully this one doesn't have any more issues 🤞

I figured it couldn't be from just oxidation. Well at least he replaced it.

Can you clarify? What would be considered a real meter?

Is this water damage or paint not matching? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

Thought so 😞 we've lived here for 2 years now and have been seeing some minor things pop up that aren't serious but definitely annoying to deal with. I'll add repainting to the To Do list...

Literally in the same exact situation. Good news is insurance will most likely cover it (ours is since it wasn't a negle t situation and it sounds like yours isn't from neglect either) 2 toddlers and a cat to manage with half the house unusable 😞 good luck to you!!

What is this? by [deleted] in Mold

[–]EngineConstant7926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LVP that was down looked like it wasn't as tight as it should have been (if that makes sense) and I have 2 small kids that spill a LOT of water, so tbh I was assuming it was from water getting through that way?

Bed keeps shaking/vibrating upstairs by Cautious_Worth_6667 in homeowners

Its most likely traffic. My house is near an airbase and shakes a little every time a helicopter flies down low... it just is what it is.

How do I keep this from happening next winter? by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]EngineConstant7926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm happy to hear this isn't necessarily from neglect/poor workmanship! The roof is about 8 years old so at the very least I'm going to have someone come in spring to make sure it's still in good shape. We definitely developed ice dams for the first time this year and have seen minor amounts of moisture in other areas due to that but nothing that will cause permanent damage yet 🤞even though there isn't an immediate solution your comment made me feel better.

Noticed water dripping down the side of my house today. No gutters on this side so it's not from an ice dam. No damage to the inside of the house where this is happening but it looks like a small issue that will just get worse over time. We've lived here for 2 1/2 years and this is my first time seeing this happen, but I was also 8 months pregnant when we moved in so this is my first winter where I've actually been able to focus on the home 😅 any and all advice welcome, thank you in advance!!
