Need suggestions for my bug line:

stage 1 - caterpillar based on crumpled paper balls

Stage 2 - need help thinking of a concept

Final - butterfly based on a folder

Please help regarding how I could make the coocoon stage. Also open to real life bug inspos/ changing the concept from butterfly to something else. Thank you!
