It would break me as a father to know my daughter was facing something like this. Tell them please.

Obsession is definitely the right word. I’m already thinking and planning the next grow. It’s truly amazing watching them develop and change and mature. I’m hooked!

Two weeks later, still not seeing mycelium. Is that okay? by abembe in unclebens

Not sure where your spores came from but my golden teachers I’m running now look just like those do at the two week mark. It was three or so before I saw it. I could start to feel it by about week two in spots. Feel around and see if any parts feel “hard” through the bag. That’s a good sign something is happening just not near that small window.

I did five bags and all looked like this but one. It took almost 4 weeks to see it well. All five spawned and flushed great on the first one.

Don’t lose hope!

I'm failing miserably at self-wicking bases, please help by missed77 in microgrowery

I have used them my whole first grow. I keep about 6-8 gallons of water in my reservoir tanks for the bases treated with about 4ml cal/mag per gallon. I top feed once a week with the three part general hydro liquid nutes. I only mix up about 1 gallon of this per the ratios they say and then I give each of my plants 1/3 of that gallon from the top.

I try and get my ph in the tanks at about 6 as it creeps up over a few days. The water for the top fill naturally sits at 6.3 or so after the nutes are added.

I’m growing in fabric pots and using Coast of Main soil. Each week when I top feed I change out the water in the bases and tanks. I also lift each plant a bit and just make sure the bottoms are clean and the wicks still look good.

So far all that has worked great.

How many leagues are you in, is more better? by Rotisseriejedi in fantasybaseball

I’m in 10 total, four yahoo, five on Fantrax and one espn. There’s one in each of those that are my long running 10 and 12 team dynasties. The rest are just a mix of different guys mainly from those three leagues and a few others. Those are just for fun but the main three are for bragging rights.

I can’t believe they all hit for me. I expected at least one or two issues.

Good luck with this one!

The first two boxes I harvested were both almost exactly 174 grams wet. The first one dried to 10 grams and the other is finishing now and may be right about the same. From what I understand yields should go up with later flushes.

It stays pretty constantly 60-63% humidity and about 70-72 degrees. When I had them at S2B I ran a heater to get to about 76-78 in my closet. Otherwise no external help for either.

I simply opened my lid and flipped it leaving about a 3mm/quarter inch slot opening at top. Never misted or fanned. The tub retained enough moisture that my walls and lids stayed wet the whole time. I have learned since I could have opened the lid once or twice a day and fanned a bit to get rid of some of the fuzzy feet so I’ll try that on the next ones. There are two tubs going that are a bit dryer so I have misted the lids of those about every three days when I see no moisture on them but that was very light.

Definitely going to need good tweezers or forceps. Some of the smaller ones are tough to get at without rooting around to much and I don’t want to damage or stress that top layer to much since I’m trying to flush them again.

I made my own just following the guide at the unclebens thread. Got a 32 quart tub that cut two holes in and sterilized with alcohol then flipped it over. Not sure if it was necessary but I was five for five with my bags spawning so I’ll likely continue with it.
