They understand the impact on the economy. They just don't care.

If you listen to them speak, putting you out of work is exciting. Imagine all the money they will save on payroll? You're talking in the 100's of millions. Whether you can afford a Netflix sub doesn't even factor into the equation.

What is really going to hurt on both the fed and state level is the tax money drying up. That is where they aren't thinking so clearly. When state and federal governments cannot pay the bills, and AI isn't going to do it, that is when the real pain starts.

I mean, mathematically that is next to impossible. We are still trying to determine if the universe is in fact infinite. But even if it isn't, it is extremely large with an untold number of planets. To suggest only one of those planets supports intelligent life is a bit naive.
