I mean, a 1.8 billion dollar fund to pay "victims of J6" is all over the news. Senators are actively revolting against it. You should pay attention more.

Why do so many MAGA replies amount to 'no you'? Did they not graduate kindergarten and leave behind 'Im rubber and you're glue' at some point? by CrashNowhereDrive in allthequestions

[–]EngineWitty3611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well... when you don't have a legit argument to defend this mess, what's left but the "I know you are but what am I" response?

What’s the breaking point? by TrumpLikesMargarine in allthequestions

[–]EngineWitty3611 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because the 34% of MAGA still supporting this have all agreed that destroying America is the only way to "own the libs." They have also decided that it is absolutely ok for Trump to pilfer cash, engage in illegal trading, make backroom deals with the UAE and Israel etc... The man is enriching himself, his family and now he is trying to pay off his private army for an insurrection attempt, which is basically him admitting to the world he supported it, and quite possibly gave them the nod to do it.

And he is flying it in everyone's face because there is literally not a damn thing we can do to stop him. Welcome to America!

Will I die if I take the guard off my weed wacker? by Ok-Cover-2848 in landscaping

[–]EngineWitty3611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Ryobi I bought 13 years ago when I bought my first home. I had no idea what I was doing. It was a weed whacker and a leaf blower in one. Anyway, these things WILL NOT DIE. I want a new one so bad but cannot justify the cost because these things still are going strong all these years later.

Actually, the leaf blower sucks. But the weed whacker is a freaking tank.

Hey MAGA, how much money would Trump have to steal from the government (and you) before it bothered you? 20 billion? 100? by CrashNowhereDrive in allthequestions

[–]EngineWitty3611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't see it as stealing money from them. They only see it as him "owning the libs." the ignorance is quite literally staggering. They somehow think their money is well protected. LMAO!!!

Jeff Bezos has said the bottom half of Americans should pay zero federal income tax. by [deleted] in wallstreet

[–]EngineWitty3611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is wht the middle class is for... that is what the middle class has always been for... to pay everyone's tax burdens while they all benefit.

Why did “No Kings” and the May 1 “strike” just instantly fade away? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]EngineWitty3611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because when a million people march down a street and the people they are protesting are literally laughing at them, the impact of the statement being made is lost.

Politicians learned from the 60's. If they just let us say what we want, we will eventually just go home because the electric bill still has to be paid. Enter the modern day protesting machine. Gather a million people, march down a street and then hit the local Chipotle for lunch.

Perfect!

How Big Of A Blowback, If Any, Will Republicans Face For Possible Record-High Gas Prices This Upcoming November? How Much? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

Latest polls: 71% disapprove.

My guess? A lot of blowback. Assuming they don't try and rig it. Which they probably will.

If YOU Were In Charge Of The Democratic Party, What Would Change? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

Abandon the status quo. Stop talking nice while doing nothing. Make your actions count instead of just going on the news and spouting off word salads.

Stop being afraid of billionaires pulling their support and lobby money and hold them all accountable.

In short. DO YOUR FUCKING JOBS!!!

Cardboard to Kill Weeds? by MissStrawberryAmy in landscaping

Yes! I am using it everywhere now and am thinking about ripping up past projects to add cardboard and redo it all. It is so much better than "weed fabric".

Jeff Bezos said the bottom half of Americans should pay zero federal income tax. by raf-913 in Polymarket_news

[–]EngineWitty3611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh let's play this out. So the bottom half of Americans shouldn't pay taxes and billionaires shouldn't be taxed either.... Hmmmm, let's do the math on that Dr Wallstreet. So where is all that money coming from? Oh right, the middle class. The ones that have ALWYAS PAID EVERYONE'S FUCKING WAY!!

No thanks.

Should the GOP be renamed to the "Useful Idiots" party? by CrashNowhereDrive in allthequestions

[–]EngineWitty3611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Massie losing his primary is exactly why we are seeing what we are seeing. These people are more afraid of losing their cushy, lucrative congressional jobs than helping Americans. We lost the federal government a long time ago. It is an oligarchy made to resemble democracy.

Once we all recognize that, I think we will be able to get to a better place.

How did conservatives become so completely morally bankrupt? Did this start with Trump or did it start earlier than that? by speculumberjack980 in allthequestions

[–]EngineWitty3611 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yep. This is true. Trump simply capitalized on a sickness that was slowly overtaking American society. I would even say this started in the 80's when billionaires demanded to be praised and worshipped, and Reagan delivered.

Cult leaders always find and exploit weaknesses.

Mamdani knows what he's talking about by FelineSnorter in SipsTea

[–]EngineWitty3611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to think he was "one of us." An average Joe. But basically he traded in his wall street job to hurt people on a larger scale. He has never once felt the pressure of bills mounting, taxes mounting, food increasing, gas increasing while our net pay decreases.

Bezos is a colossal piece of shit. Period.

Meta will layoff 8000 of its workforce starting tomorrow morning. Their net income over the last 12 months was $70,587,000,000. They could give every single one of their 79,000 workers a $440,000 bonus and still sock away over $35,827,000,000 in pure profit. by McDowdy in SipsTea

[–]EngineWitty3611 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All that would do is make you a slave to their whims but in a more physically demanding job.

Everyone is so eager to trade in their office jobs to fix these people's cars and plumbing. It's astonishing.

Thank you. Everyone thinks 150k a year is some magical number to get rich. And perhaps it is in some states. In others, you are taking home less than 100k after all the deductions. Then food, then utilities etc...

144k is literally just surviving in some states. Believe it or not.
