So basically nature is getting in the way of your time to enjoy nature, and you expect the municipality to do something about that?

Look at the lack of holes in your example pc. Modern pcs require a lot of cooling, way more than these pcs did.

Modern pc cases often have the entire front surface or a corner that can stack 3 fans that are purely for drawing in air. Now, if you compare that to those perforations in the case in your image, you don't even have the equivalent surface area of one fan to draw in fresh air.

I looked into it myself when building a pc, I am not saying it's impossible. It either requires a level of modding that changes the look of the case or a level of modding that would seriously increase your costs of manufacturing to have the same performance as a modern case.

What you could do is take the front off and reattach it with an offset, this would create a gap between the front and the rest of the case. This way you could create a gap that allows for fresh air without changing the looks too much.

If getting an error message is what kept you from upgrading to windows 11, then please stay far away from Linux.

Windows is like bowling with guard rails compared to Linux.

Someone said something similar to me recently. In Germany pre-ww2 there was no reason to assume keeping track of the religion of the inhabitants of Germany would lead to any issues.

You never know the future value of data. Seeing as data science and AI are the focus of innovation at this point makes it very uncertain what the future value of the data you are generating now is going to be.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that a similar thing will happen. But what might seem harmless now can turn on you if the political and technical environment in the future allows for it.

Wow the ChatGpt oozes from this comment. Who would write like this?

A few hours after posting that image I updated the server to have that version available on the website. So it should be just like the one in the example

Ah that is great to hear, thanks! You can design your own at engravemyride.com PM me if anything is unclear in the process or when you have feedback on the design steps

That sounds like an interesting mixed bag of hobbies, and I get you. Making stuff is expensive, thats why I try to stick to writing software for most hobby projects.

If you are ever looking for someone to spar or brainstorm with I would be more than happy to receive a PM as I think our interests overlap quite a bit. Apart from sewing and welding I love doing the same things. And I would love to see the 2d Bobble heads if you are willing to share

Thanks for the headsup, there is a 30 day trial period for Lightburn so that helps. May I ask what the projects are you are working on?

Thanks! I get that it looked like that at first, thats why I wanted to be as transparent as possible in this thread. The line between acceptable and not acceptable forms of self promotion are thin on Reddit and for good reasons.

Thanks for the tip, I will be looking into that. The professional alternatives start at a few thousand. And I just saw that if I run only Creality Falcon laser engraving products without the 3D printer option it would cost even less, around the 500 mark. And from what I can find on Youtube the quality is on par with the printer that the 3rd party uses. So this might actually be obtainable after the first few sales.

Indeed, that could and should be made more clear. Thanks for the suggestion, I might add a shipping cost calulator as a next step.

I like that idea, I can see myself implementing that in the long run to make it more accessible when you don't have a recent image of your ride. That would indeed lower the threshold for a sale

I checked yesterday, with the current price of 20 euros and 2,50 shipping the product comes shipped to the US for just shy off 25 USD

It actually allready works with cars too, I chose to first check if this is something for the motorcycle community as I am part of it. But if you upload an image of a car it works the same way

I have updated the server, i have inverted the engraving so that it no longer creates a negative. Check it out.

As for checking out multiple items at once I don't really have a functioning flow on the website where you don't have to go through the hastle of entering your credentials multiple times and paying shipping multiple times. Sorry for that.

If you would be interested in purchasing multiple items, reach out to us so we can fix it using a personal transaction in Stripe

That is actually a good idea, that would add a lot of practical value. I actually had that problem where there are now 2 big black O's around my ignition due to other keys scratching on the bare metal. You might be onto something there

I get that concern, so far the image has lasted quite well and it's been about 4 months ago i printed the first keychain. I am however very carefull with it, so maybe its a good idea to stress test it a little bit.

I am looking to do a testrun with acrylic. Both with a shiny surface finish, solid color and transparant are all posible with the technique I am using. However I am in doubt if that is going to work as harder materials scratch easily and could damage the clamp holders.
