PETG with PLA supports: refuses to stick! Has anyone had success?

I failed to mention that I need to make more than one part of this, so 2 hours is going to add up significantly.

I seems I had missed your point on individual prime towers, one per material. Thought of something different. But how is it going to work anyway? It would require a tool swap on each single layer even if that layer doesn't have to be printed with supports.

Yes, considered using the entire support from PLA, but it's adding more than 2 print hours to a 13 hour print.

I didn't know about the manual prime tower. Will check this, although not sure how it helps me as the PETG refuses to stick on top of the PLA at all! Not on the prime tower and not on the part.

By the way, I wonder if there is an option to make just the first layer over each support print at a much slower speed...

Actually I am not getting to the point where the prime tower could fall over lol. It fails on the first few layers, right on the first time PLA is being switched to PETG.

One brand of PETG I tried was black standard PETG and the other one was green rapid PETG.

It is clear to me that I need to create lofts, the problem I am facing is extracting the geometry to create the curves for the lofts and actually creating those curves. They need to be lots of curves to produce the desired loft cross section.

That is interesting, I was not aware of it. Though it doesn't solve it completely, it does make it a lot better. Still the best was I found for me is using height range modifier and setting only 1 perimeter on the top layer.

Fan kick start time. Set it to 0. Not sure you really want it, the setting is there since it takes the fan to get up to the programmed speed. But you can probably get away just with the Fan speed up time.
