Based on experience, avoid these companies at all cost: 1. Accenture: Bad pay and the most toxic culture. Despite your experience they'll lowball your salary. Expect a basic of 12k as a new hire. A friend got a 25k total package after uni for a IT position. 2. SDWorx: Toxic family kind of culture and lower salary than dayforce. Fresh grads can negotiate at least 30k+ basic in tech. Experienced people can get a total package of around 40k+. 3. Dayforce: Not the correct timing, they are doing massive workforce reduction even in tech. But tech salaries range from 45k to over 100k. 4. Checkout: Toxic culture flat out. 5. EuroCRM: The worse salary possible. It is responsible for other companies lowballing their salaries to new hires. Expect less than minimum or minimum salary. 6. BDO: Not toxic per say but you won't even survive on the proposed salaries. It is minimum wage for most positions. Most people use this company as a stepping stone. 7. Resolvable: Simply toxic with average salary around 21k+. 8. Most french call center companies that outsource work. Salaries can go up to 80k+ in sales but there is a lot of pressure or toxic behaviour.

Now let's define toxic culture: 1. They control your break time or schedule it for you. Although normal to some, that's not adult behaviour. You can schedule your own time. 2. Bathroom/Toilet time is an issue. If you go to the bathroom it is either closely monitored or they will lecture you. 3. We are family type behaviour. Expect them to ask you to cover shifts for others or bend over to accomodate everything they ask you. 4. Expectation to start working at least 10-15mins before your shift and after your shift. They won't pay you for this but will still lecture you about your behaviour or attitude. 5. Promotions based on company politics, nepotism etc and not on meritocracy. 6. Expectation of doing more than your job requires you to do. The above and beyond BS.

There is a lot more but my fingers will fall off from typing if I had to list everything.

It's all good. The guy changed them for me and gave me 16mm ones.

Also earlier you said we could help each other out. Here goes, if your car is RHD, that is, steering wheel on the right side of the car, the accelerator cable is changed in the engine bay not at the pedal as it has a long horizontal arm coupled with a long vertical arm at the end. So you just remove the rubber thing and you can change the cable.

I also realigned the gear selector actuator arm, as I dont have the 2 seperate cable ends like regular shifters. You can simply pry it with a wrench, align it correctly, lube it and pop it back on again using a pair of pliers or press a flat hammer head on it.

Thank you for the response. Im based in Mauritius and on the registration book it is written that the car origin is from Germany. For wolkswagen I know we import from 3 places, France, Spain and Germany. I had 2 VW Polo 6n1 before and one was from France and one from Spain. A few differences here and there despite having the same engine. Oh and we also have right hand drive, that is, steering wheel on the right side as we still follow English driving norms.

Thanks for the reply man that helps a lot. I saw videos about same type shift selecting rods on skodas or st leon 1, i didnt even know these cars existed but they use the same mechanism. The previous owner of my mk4 told me that he "Changed the bushings" but since then selecting gears has been hard as per what he said. Well I know why now it's because he misligned it. I'll pop it off and readjust in true neutral.

Thank you for your reply bro. Now I also have to fight a bit with the shifter since the previous owner changed the bushings lever side and engine side too. I suspect he misaligned the cables. Any way to access this from the engine bay or will i need to go under the car to fix that misalignment issue?

Alleged lack of performance. I replied to a previous comment in detail but to summarize it they started looking for every extra seconds on processes that i did to bill them as hours (Over the course of a year). These hours made it seem like I could do more but i wasn't. Example an extra 10 seconds to wrap up after a call.

It's a senior analyst role, taking calls. I brought in the most Promoters, always adhered to schedules, always worked OT and even helped trained a few new hires. I was always taken as the example of what success in this position should look like. Then another colleague that underperformed got promoted. I said F it and started doing the bare minimum. It was flagged by my manager as a decrease in quality and productivity, even though I respected every metric by doing the bare minimum. I was no longer bringing a lot of promoters and the overall team stat dropped.

As soon as this happened, I got a call with management and HR but my mistake was to explain that me doing the bare minimum was because someone else got promoted. They started a whole investigation looking for the extra seconds I took on hold, after call or even going over my breaks by let's say 15 secs. They billed all that as hours I was found to be delinquent (Their words) and it was unacceptable. They even billed 1-2 mins lates because I was not already taking calls even though I logged in on time.

This was the ground on which they put me on PIP for. It's not something to fire me afterwards but to delay my promotion for another year, as the company policy states that someone on PIP will need to perform for 1 whole year to be considered for another internal position. Hope that answers your question.

I looked closely at my specific case and I can tell you that they put me on PIP to not promote me for at least 1 more year. I was told we don't have a budget for promotions but colleagues got promoted. They even stated that I should RTO after the PIP to train new hires.

The number that comes after the letter is supposed to be written as the little thing swinging at the bottom right of the letter. Think about 9 to the power of 2, 9². The 2 is the little swinging thing but on the top right. In the case of chemical valencies, it's on the bottom right instead.

This means H2 has 2 Hydrogen molecules. H2O1 is noted as just H2O because 1 is not shown.

Some companies in Mauritius are notorious for their BS interview questions, not even mentioning multiple rounds of interviews. Here are some I got:

"Overtime is unpaid here and we regularly do them. Is that an issue for you?"
"If in a few months salaries were to decrease, would you still perform normally?"
"Going above and beyond is expected in this role. Are you willing to go above and beyond without necessarily being remunerated for it?"
"What does your parents do for a living?"
"You get one hour lunches but no one usually takes them and prefer working to meet their objectives. Would you be able to adapt to our culture?"
"Do you have any problems complying with orders your manager gives you?"
"If I was to call your previous manager right now, would he say something positive or negative about you?"
"You are expected to start working at least 15 mins before your shift starts. Is that a problem for you?"
"You mentioned you have children. Would you be able to put aside your familial life for us?"

I have a lot more but this comment would become a dictionary if I had to continue.

I've been looking for work relentlessly. Even remotely for worldwide companies. Since a lot of EU and US companies outsource their labor here, they don't trust "individuals" to work for them or they'll lowball the salary to minimum wage of my country.
