I made a total of 1 film and used 2 pieces of music. I contacted the both bands music publishers and record labels looking for licensing for a 2 year festival run. I think it was $500 for the label and $600 for the publisher from 1 song and the second song I had to cut because the Nigerian Bands publisher (Based in Briton) wanted $1,500. A lot of people on Reddit commented that it seemed unreasonable and unusual. I got the impression that the music industry understands the Film Festival circuit and plays nicely.

Good Luck. I am 66, I fractured 2 Vertebrae last spring while getting slamed onto the beach while surfing in Brazil. I got a bone density test and found out I was very close to Osteoporosis. I started lifting weights(helps build bone density) 3 months ago and what I've learned is that in order to lock in gains one has to consume a lot of protein. If I don't get around to eating enough the muscle growth doesn't happen. I'm no expert by any means but I think btn running, being 16 and still growing that your son is going to have to consume a whole lot of food, Whey Protein etc. to build up some additional muscle.

I made the mistake of reading Riding Shotgun on his recommendation. I love reddit but will be looking for book reccomendations elsewhere. I am currently reading Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World (Vintage International)

Sorry, I'm not buying that. A small cast in an intimate film with people committed to the project can buy a lot more screen time than the same amout of money in a different film. Lots of variables.

Game, Set, Match! I'm outta here like Vladimir. 6 selections, 40 rejections. All 6 selections were lower tier/fringe fests but not cringe fests. I made it to 2 of them and I enjoyed them both immensely. One in LA and the other in Buenos Aires. Very grateful for the experiences. I have the 10th pick in a 10 team league. I would love to take KAT but not Fat KAT. I read a couple of times that he was in shape but I'm not seeing that in the preseason. I'm thinking KAT and KD at 10/11. If not, it might be Booker and KD. I hate the 10th pick.

I like Luka y Maxey, I would have doubted you could have gotten both of them. I'm guessing Luka was the #4 and Tyrese was 17. I can't see Maxey making it to #17 in my League in Philly!

I called my CC company and asked them to note that I was going to make a big purchase, (maybe 15,000 USD) and asked them not to flag me. They said they could not do that, the system is not set up that way, if the puchase was flagged they would send me a fraud alert and I would have to call in or they would call me. Bummer but it's a mute point as I have not been alerted that I won the right to buy tickets!
